Great morning out!
Aug 2021 • Family
Great first soft play experience, visited whilst we were visiting family in the Isle.
Clean, tidy and food was great.
Our 2 year old loved the soft play - we could have spent all day there!

Animal wise, we had a wander around and saw all the animals, there’s not a vast amount but perfect amount for our 2 year old to take in and get close to.

Will definitely return!

Used to be so much better
Sep 2021 • Family
Not much in the way of a farm as there were not many animals to see other than chickens (plenty of those!) and a few goats. We came a couple of years ago and it was much better. Thankfully the indoor play area saved the day but it was a bit grubby.

A real farm for children to visit
Aug 2021 • Family
Three Mums and three 2 year olds visited here and it was lovely. All amenities were great, the play area was great and very clean. The food was lovely!! The bouncy pillow was great! As for the animals and the farm I think it was lovely and just enough for little ones, not too big an area to walk around, little viewing windows for smaller children. I’ve seen a lot of comments on here about it being run down- now it’s not got brand new fences around the enclosures and it looks like they might be doing some renovations and I am not a farmer nor do I know enough about keeping livestock to comment but I thought it all looked ok. The animals seemed happy, as for nettles and overgrown grass, I’d rather take my child to a proper farm that is muddy and looks like a farm rather than one that looks polished. There is an area for wildflowers to grow so maybe the owners are more interested in a natural outdoor area that supports a natural ecosystem which is definitely something I support. We stopped at the ice cream parlour before leaving which was also lovely. Hope this all helps.

Very enjoyable day out
Jun 2021 • Friends
A very enjoyable day out with our 3 year olds. Staff were great and very friendly, lovely food. Good range of animals although looking at pictures perhaps some parts are still closed with covid? Seemed to be less to see than we anticipated. The boys enjoyed petting guinea pigs. The soft play was great and felt very safe, nice to be able to sit and have a drink without worrying as they couldn’t get out anywhere. They loved the bouncy pillow and sandpit, the only thing that could have really improved putt visit is it would benefit from some kind of outside play area/climbing frame and ride on tractors etc. As it felt there wasn’t much to keep them entertained outside after we had seen the animals. Will definitely be back though.

Half-term Fun for a 6 Year Old
Oct 2020 • Family
We took our grandson (autistic 6 year old) to play during half term. He had great fun on the soft play going up and down and round and round. We could sit watch and drink tea knowing he was safe. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The tables were cleaned regularly and the staff were fully Covid aware. The outside area was as expected for late October but with a good display of animals.

Amazing afternoon tea at Netty’s
Sep 2020
After having to cancel mum’s birthday present in lockdown I decided to bring her to Netty’s vintage tea room for afternoon tea as a late celebration. I’m so glad I did as it was perfect from start to finish. We had the half and half afternoon tea and all I can say is make sure you’re hungry! There was plenty for 2 people and the food was absolutely lovely as were the staff! We will definitely be returning and would recommend!

Bank holiday day out
Aug 2020 • Family
Visited this little gem on 31/08/20 with mu hubby, son ,daughter in law an 2 grandchildren, it is quite near to where we live, what a little treasure of a place, you had to book time in the soft play area in line with covid but the rest of the outdoor things were available, you could buy animal food in bags for 50p an it was only £3.50 entrance for adults and £5 for children, well worth it. We booked the play area between 12 an 2 the rest of the time we fed the animals, watched the tortoise been bathed, stroked the salamander and listened to the talks about the animals, very informative. There was a huge out door bounce area that my grandchildren loved. In the soft play area, there was 2 acts a day, one a disney princess sing a long and one peter rabbit sing a long , the kids loved it, food was nice an reasonably priced and there was an ice cream parlour where we had an ice cream milkshake to finish off the day. A lovely little gem of a place for younger children, we all had a wonderful day and would definately return and reccomend .

Great day out with our 5 year old Granddaughter
Aug 2020
My husband & I took our 5 year old Granddaughter twice during the school holidays. The first time Soft Play was not open but the outside pillow was, she had a great time jumping.
We looked around all the animals & thought their pens were large enough & the animals were well fed & looked after, she especially liked the animal petting sessions.
We had coffee & hot chocolate on arrival then later on bought lunch, we thought it was reasonably priced & enjoyable.
The second time we went, at the end of August, was just as enjoyable with the Soft play area being open. At 11 am 'Peter Rabbit' visited & my Granddaughter loved the visit by him & the sing song.
Again we bought drinks & food & again it was very nice.
The animals were still being cared for very well.
To sum up our feelings we do not know agree with the bad comments by other people on Trip Advisor.
The whole place is rather unfinished but I'm sure given time the jobs will be done.
We will definitely visit in October when we are looking after her.
Thank you Shepherds Place farm for 2 lovely days out.
