In the rooms tucked away in the corner is a little gem. Pennys tea room, Penny is lovely and the food is fantastic,a must for our visits to Lancaster.

Also known as The Assembly rooms, this indoor market provides everything you need when visiting Lancaster. Adjacent to this are the 1720 Penny's Almshouses named after William Penny which are currently used as private ownership. Worth a visit.

There is a great range of vintage clothing for both men and women. The clothes are also affordable, buying a dressing gown for £18. The staff were really nice and helpful
