Amazing urban Park, victoriana style. Fantastic view of Morecambe Bay and the lakes District. The Ashton memorial, if open, provides even a better view. The butterfly House is totally recommended as well as the cafe next to it, serving breakfast and light lunches and homemade cakes.

Shame about the weather but the park was great. I will return to visit the butterflies one day soon.

Lovely mini-zoo located in the park which is well worth a visit. Could do with some TLC but i'm sure this is a funding thing more than a lack of care. Park is beautiful with amazing views.

Having visited Lancaster several times over the years, and saying that we must visit Williamson Park and the Ashton memorial, we finally managed to go.The park is lovely with great views of the surrounding countryside. There are children’s play areas, a cafe, a small zoo and a butterfly house. The Ashton Memorial is a fine focal point at the top of the hill. Car parking is available nearby

Pleasant lunch on the veranda overlooking the park. Service is slow but as long as one is not in a hurry who cares?
Serve a nice pot of tea.

Took our grandsons to this a couple of days ago and they were delighted. A minimal charge allows you to wander for as long as you want which was great for the kids. There is also a good play park adjacent to the otgher attractions which meant that even though the weather was not great the children and adults enjoyed them selves. would happily go back

The park is beautiful and a lovely place to spend an afternoon. We also visited the butterfly House and associated attractions, all worth the small charge. The Ashton memorial is beautiful and would offer a fantastic view across the valley from it's upper levels, unfortunately not available for us due to a wedding. Very enjoyable time.

Lovely park.

We went as a family to Williamson Park as a park of our school holiday outings and it was lovely.

As well as using the viewing decks in the Ashton Memorial we visited the mini zoo and butterfly house. The family ticket cost £11 which is great and we spent more than an hour looking around everything. The kids loved the meerkats, and myself and my wife liked the butterfly house. However my wife was not a big fan of the mini beasts house but that was due to the tarantula and not the house itself.

After that we walked around the grounds taking in the scenery. Our only regret is that we hadn't brought a picnic.

The only thing I would say is that the over 8's play area is a little on the small side and it was quite crowded.

We had no problem finding room on the carpark and at £2 for an all day ticket, it was really cheap too. We didn't go into the cafe, so I can't comment on that.

All in all we had a lovely visit. Well done to all the staff for your lovely park.
