A friend of mine and I went here the other day and for under £10 we could get a bottle of prosecco and it was quite nice bottle. It was a very sports bar atmosphere but it was still a nice place to chill out...More

What a grubby little place! I went here in high hope but left very disappointed. The beer was disgusting. The service from the freakishly unpleasant landlady was equally poor. Save yourself and stay away.

Was in this bar a few times during a weekend visit . Afternoons are football and horse racing . Night brought a more dance atmosphere with good music . Drinks are reasonably priced . Would definitely return

The Penny Bank has just re-opened from a recent refurbishment and it looks a lot nicer and more comfortable inside.

I came in to see how the place looks and it looks good, like a old country pub and was quite busy for a Monday at half 5. Drinks are a good price as only £2.65 for a large glass of house white. They don't...More

Grub was great. Home made chips were brill (perhaps a little longer in the fryer) . Kids meals we're free as they're under 5. Toilets are a rough but who gives a hoot. Will be back
