About
Lancaster brewery is a multi-award-winning brewer of beautiful beers, born and brewed in the north west of England. The company has four popular beers that form its core range - Lancaster Blonde, Amber, Red and Black and also produces monthly specials and seasonal beers from our purpose built brewery. We do brewing properly. No fuss, no shortcuts, just proper old fashioned brewing using freshly milled malt, whole-leaf hops and live yeast that, combined with our expertise, produces some of the best beer in the country. Our brewery is open as a tap house for people to come and enjoy a pint, and we offer tours of our brewing process too (which you can buy online from our website as a gift voucher for the beer fan in your life). The brewery is also available to hire as a venue for weddings, parties and events - it is a fantastic venue for a big bash for 50- 400 people within walking distance of Lancaster town centre.

    ‘Blonde Tour’
We visited Lancaster Brewery today for the ‘Blonde Tour’. David was our tour guide and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and funny which made the tour even better! We got 3 free pints each and a pizza to share included with the tour which were great 👍🍻 Would highly recommend the tour, hopefully you’ll get David as your guide, however I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic tour either way!

    Best day ever!!
We had our wedding here on Thursday and the whole process was excellent from start to finish. The staff were all so friendly, I must mention Chris and Marie who supported and guided us through the whole process. We dropped off our decorations and they did the rest - the venue looked absolutely beautiful. Everyone commented on how great it looked and the place really made everyone feel so relaxed. If you are looking for a venue to host an event please don't hesitate!! It's absolutely brilliant.

    Socially distanced beery goodness!
Since lockdown began I’ve been buying some supplies from this brewery and have always received excellent service whether it be delivery or collection. I’ve been particularly impressed with the new Beer Growlers they have for sale, three and a half pints of beery goodness, and re-filled for a tenner, what’s not to like? The staff have always been excellent, service with a smile, except you can’t see them smiling now with folk having to wear masks! The ginger haired chap always goes the extra mile, with a bit of banter when I visit. This weekend my partner and I, along with a friend decided to visit the bar for the afternoon, and what an excellent set up it is. The inside bar is spacious, with excellent Covid precautions taken, and the brewery has its own App which works well. The outside area is outstanding, with loads of outside socially distanced tables and a nice large marquee, with a big heater in, where we chose to sit. I can see this being very popular when the cold weather hits. Again, excellent table service was given, the poor bar staff must walk miles delivering beer and wandering round taking orders for people not equipped with the App. Always with cheery service, it was a pleasure to visit such a friendly establishment, we’ll be back soon. Well done!

Visited Friday afternoon and will not be going back.
Arrived about 4.30pm and waited until 5pm for a waiter table service only and then another 15 minutes to get a drink. Order a large white wine only did 175ml but at £6.20 per glass this was a rip off.
Stayed for a second round waited another 30 minutes for table service to be told it was a twenty minute wait for drink. Thought it might be better to order a bottle of white wine, how wrong was I £25.50 for a bottle (absolute rip off).
Then went to order food only to be told we could as they were too busy and it was an hours wait before we could order. The lady at Kelly’s Pizza was very rude and it seemed like we were doing a favour when we got around to ordering three 10” pizzas for £30.
I understand businesses have struggled through lockdown, just as I have I am self employed.
I do not agree with trying to make up for your losses by overcharging and to make it worse offering awful service.

I've been going to the brewery for a number of years now, and I'm really impressed on how they've adapted during the past year. After the first lockdown they focused on their outdoor space and brought in the wonderful Kelly's Kitchen and their scrumptious pizzas - a really good move! It's made me visit the brewery even more!

Since the second lockdown they opened their garden again and who could have predicted how busy it would have been? We were all desperate to get out! I saw the two negative reviews and disagree - the first week they were open was so busy for them but they always provide excellent service and I'd rather be told that there's a wait time (not that there's been such a long wait for me since then).

I think the prices are competitive and worth every penny for quality products (love the Lancaster Blush cider, and the Provino wines too!).

The staff are the star of the show though - I can't praise them enough. Carry on doing a fantastic job! And see you next weekend...

I booked this to (part) celebrate friends birthday, eight of us caught the train & had a fantastic time sampling the great beers and chatting with Chris about the production and plans that Lancaster Brewery have for the future. It's great to see local businesses flourish and wish them well fro 2020 and the future. Great value for money and the pie and pickles went down a treat.

We have friends who live in Lancaster, so one of the items on the agenda is a visit to the Brewery. Again on Saturday and for the second time, it was closed. I noticed on the website this morning that there is no indication of when it is opening this week.
As the restaurant on the Park is also closed, this is not a venue for us to rush back to.

As it is a little bit out of the way I checked the website before setting off, just to make sure that it was going to be open, When I arrived it was closed, as the brewery was booked for a private function. Very poor in my opinion. Why even have a website, if it isn't accurate ?

My wife, her sister and her husband, and I visited the Brewery bar for a lunchtime drink. Due to the relaxation of some of the lockdown rules the bar was open but there are still strict rules to adhere to, understandably. We spent a nice lunchtime partaking in the ales, which are superb. The staff were very friendly, professional and very quick with our orders. We will return at a future time and wish all the staff good luck to and to keep safe!

Visited on 28.7.22 and was not disappointed. A great range of ales both seasonal and regular. All kept amazingly well. Beth, who served us, could not have been more helpful. Such a friendly and warm welcome, and a credit to the Brewery.

Only one guy taking orders from 50+ tables. We were advised there is a 40 minute wait for drinks.

Captive market, high prices yet rubbish service!!

Don't waste your time.

On driving through the Trough of Bowland we came out here at the brewery. Decided to stop and have a drink. My second visit having been a few years ago. Was quiet on the afternoon but beer good and staff were pleasant. Having visited Kirkby Lonsdale brewery earlier in the week I must admit Lancaster taproom is not as good in my opinion as the one in Kirkby Lonsdale. Still worth a visit
