About Leam Boat Centre
The Leam Boat Centre is based in beautiful Jephson Gardens along the river in Leamington Town Centre. The park's old Victorian boathouse was renovated thirteen years ago as part of the Millennium Project and it is now a thriving centre of activity. It's a lovely place to come for a day out as a family; row boats, motor boats and pedalos can be hired as and when you arrive and floating along the river for a carefree, sunlit hour is a wonderful experience. For more adventurous visitors, canoes and kayaks are also available for hire. The Leam Boat Centre also gives lessons in canoeing and kayaking and can cater to all levels of experience, from taster sessions for beginners through to training courses for instructors. Paddle Power kayak courses are held throughout the holidays for children to get their first taste of the sport. It might turn into a lifelong passion!

What a great experience! My husband brought me a SUP experience for Christmas. Communication with the team at LBC prior to our experience was always polite and well organised. On the day we were met with a friendly welcome and were organised quite quickly into our group. Basic info was given by one of the instructors to get us started and off we went!!! The whole experience was very enjoyable and along a lovely stretch of river, where we were lucky enough to spot some beautiful wildlife such as a kingfisher ☺️ Thank you Jordan and Katie for making us feel quite at home on the boards And for answering all our questions fully about SUP’ing!!!

Hi there, I'm glad you enjoyed your day out on the water with us, hopefully it was a good Christmas present for you. I missed the kingfisher on the day so I must admit I am slightly jealous! I'm glad we were able to deliver a good days worth of teaching and exploring down the river and hopefully we'll see you out on paddleboards again in the future. I will pass on the feedback to Katie as I'm sure she'll be thrilled to hear it. Regards, Jordan

Went to Leam Boat Centre last night to take part in the regular Thursday Night SUP Club. I paddled the Jobe Ventura bamboo 10'6" board which is a huge amount of fun, it is very manoeuvrable and accelerates quickly. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great evening.

Me and my friend attended today to hire some paddle boards. We had pre booked using their website which worked well. The centre was busy when we got there but one of the coaches George (we think) was on his lunch break and pointed us towards the manager Yanick coined the “sup guru”. We had some paddle boarding questions which he helpfully answered. While talking to him he explained how he ran the centre but then attacked the owners oversight. During our talk he also spoke down to some of the teenage staff in a way that if that were my child I would have slapped him there and then. We asked Yannick if we could hire SUPs from Warwick boats which we assumed was the same owner but he explained they there boards were low quality and that the manager poorly understood paddle boarding. Overall the actually paddling was ok but we don’t understand why a manager could possibly be this stupid when talking to paying customers!!!! I

Hi there My name is Matt, the General Manager, i wanted to say thank you for this honest review. I found it very informative! Im sorry we have not yet managed to get through the rather dense grey matter of the the manager in question. He is currently undergoing "further training" Thanks again for your honesty, it is very helpful and i hope we can serve you and the community better in future. regards matt@leamboatcentre.com

Love this place for a fun afternoon in the sun. We hired stand up paddle boards for our kids. Quite a busy stretch of river but really good fun and relaxing. Staff very friendly and helpful, our new favourite place 😊

We're very lucky to be able to get so many people out on our stretch of river; paddleboards are the perfect option to dodge all those pesky pedalos! We're glad you enjoyed yourself and hopefully we'll see you again soon ... maybe for our Thursday evening SUP club?! Regards, Jordan

I'd been considering learning kayaking for a while, I'm so glad I tried it, it is so much fun. It is a lovely setting, really beautiful along the river, flanked by parks and calm in the water. Such a great antidote to sitting in front of a screen all day. I did the introduction to kayaking course which was 4 evening lessons and a river trip to the Wye, which was such a brilliant day I haven't stopped smiling yet. Thank you so much Adie, Matt and Dan, for your excellent tuition and your encouragement and enthusiasm. Five stars definitely and an extra one for Adie who is an absolute star.

We love sharing our passion for paddelsports so being able to teach new people and get them into the sport is as much fun for us as it was for you! I think we're very lucky with our stretch of water, it's the perfect space to create a positive environment for teaching. Our trips down the river Wye continue to provide a lovely day out, I don't think we'll ever get bored of that bit of water! I will pass on your positive feedback to Ade, Matt and Dan; I'm sure they'll be thrilled to hear it. Regards, Jordan
