A nice Victorian style station that is reasonable well equipped for modern requirements. The standard of waiting rooms and shops need upgradation. A decent cafe / coffee shop / fish & chips kind of thing would do really good. Movement from one platform to the...More

This is a station from the golden days of trains. Very large station which is fully covered over. Good cafe cum bar on platform 3. Some quotes about the first world war in waiting room which are interesting. Travel to most places in Lancashire from...More

Stopped here twice in the last couple of days. A very old traditional Victorian station. However there are toilets, a restaurant and bar, so at least that's good news. It is also under cover, helps with the British weather. Needs a little renovation.

Don't try to drive here by the most obvious route, Fishergate - you'll get caught by Preston's infamous bus-lane cameras, and fined. The signage on the bus lane is totally inadequate and borderline illegal - it certainly doesn't meet the Department of Transport's road signage...More

if you are disabled this is not the best of stations to use for travel, there is a lift if you can manage to walk to the other end to use it, found the staff to be very unhelpful and one was downright rude. Food...More

Interesting old station fulfilling a modern need, it's not the fault of the station that it's staffed by neothandolites who answer enquiries in a sort of grunting language.

Overall I always enjoy my visits . The traffic flow at front is to taxi centric and I would like to see a dedicated pedestrian route , and a 15 vehicle restriction on taxi waits, the gateway could make a fantastic courtyard with shops ,...More
