I took my daughter and her three friends for her birthday after a recommendation from a work colleague - it was well worth the visit, the staff were really attentive and friendly and the girls loved it - really good value to and a large variety of different crafts to try.
Will be visiting again soon.

I was looking for something to entertain my two boys (7yrs and 5yrs) as well as my Mum - tough audience. The Crafty Potter comes highly recommended, we had a go on the potter's wheel and each made a great pot. We then went onto pottery painting with great success. the staff made a good experience, great with their helpful guidance and suggestions. We are the least artistic family in the world but were impressed by our efforts! All this and coffee and homemade cake!

The boys are already asking to go again!

We had a great time yesterday at my friend's hen party. The Crafty Potter really is excellent. Great activity and food & drink. Also great value. Thank you so much for the day. I will definitely be recommending you to my friends and family.

Visited with 4 children under 11. Paid £3:50 each to sit & then between £8 and £11 for each pottery to paint.
Telephoned in advance to check times & was informed that as it wasn’t school holidays would be closing at 3 not 4:30, when we said we were on school holidays the reply was ‘not round here’!
Children had just over an hour to complete their product. Member of staff wasn’t very welcoming & hardly spoke to the children until it was time to leave....& pay.
Having been to other similar places & received a more friendlier welcome & paid a lot less, I won’t be returning to this one!

I didn't use the pottery though it looked lovely but I was very disappointed with the sausage barm I had. Fried, very cheap tasting sausage and fatty bacon. With an on site butcher it would be great to use their sausages.

I have been to The Crafty Potter on three occasions now as it is such a lovely, friendly and fun place to spend a few hours. Once for a hen do, once with my niece and most recently with some friends on a lazy Sunday. The staff are so attentive and friendly and it's a lovely atmosphere. The current owner took over quite recently but really knows her stuff and was so friendly and helpful. Very good prices too - £3.50 covers all the paints and firing and then you just pay for the item you want to paint - I chose a plate most recently that was £10 I think. It was fired and ready to collect only a few days later! The snacks on offer are delicious, especially the home-made stew they had on last time. No matter what age group, it is a great experience, and I know I will return again soon! Thank you!!!

I took my 7yr old granddaughter here on 16th april. It was very good and it is a lovely place. Thee was a birthday party on at the same time stuffing bears this unfortunately took the staff away from us and we were left pretty much on our own. Whilst being shown how to do the potters wheel the lady spent a lot of time watching the birthday group and I didn't feel she wad giving the individual attention she should have. My granddaughter enjoyed it but I found it to be quite expensive, I was charged £1.50 for tea whilst I was there, which in itself wasn't too had but as the whole thing came to £33.50 for a trinket pot that you paint and 3 small pots made on the wheel, I also wasn't told I would have to call back the next day to collect the items. When I called to collect them it was a different lady and she said she hadn't wrapped the items as she didn't know if we wre going back that day to paint them, I hadn't even been told that was an option, despite asking before leaving what paints to use to paint them!

We visited the Crafty Potter during half term, wanting to do something a bit different as cold outside, after a little research came across this place, Isabelle age 7 can be a little shy! Not here she instantly made herself at home. They have a large selection of pottery Isabelle loved the unicorn, staff absolutely helpful, friendly and explained different paints etc, lovely place also lots of thought gone into making it a lovely environment, Isabelle picked up her beautifully painted unicorn the following weekend with her Grandad after being glazed etc, she skipped out singing and dancing after painting and absolutely as happy as Larry and very proud of her work of art when she picked it up, I will definitely return a fun friendly afternoon out.
