Museum Great but avoid the cafe
Sep 2016 • Friends
Great place to take the kids in the holidays, plenty to see and do, kids can dress up in old costumes, see war experiences, see equipment we all used before they were born. FRee admission and all inside so perfect for a rainy day. During school holidays they rumn themed events for the children to take part in. However avoid the cafe, high prices, very poor quality and food not fresh due to lack of customers

Super museum for young children.
Sep 2016
This inter active museum is a must for young children, learning about the past and even the war.
It is just big enough to keep their interest going. There is also a good cafe and shop.
I would recommend it and have been several times.

Visited her last year and it was a great place to visit. Such a shame it's closed. I hope someone manages to reopen it again in the future.

Such a shame

It's really sad to hear that this place has closed. I have a lot of child hood memories associated with it. The exhibits were very interesting and I never got tired of them no matter how many times I went with my family. I hope something can be done for it in the near future.

BEWARE CLOSED
Feb 2017 • Couples
This lovely looking Grade II listed building is CLOSED. It was a fabulous 'hands on' museum open to the public. What a terrible waste of resources and time. I do hope a private company can rectify the financial mess.

Very Sad that this Museum has been close.
This should be removed from your website.
This was a fantastic Museum. It is very upsetting that this Museum had to close owing to the financial situation which meant that the museum had to be closed.
The museum also had a small café to sit & enjoy the visit.
