Family friendly gem
Nov 2021 • Family
Very friendly, knowledgable staff who are passionate about conservation.

Large selection of different wildlife, easy to get round with pushchair.

My 2 year old grandchild loves visiting, we can interact with the animals and go and have lunch and come back, and still be excited. The talks are entertaining for him and educational for adults alike.

Lovely couple of hours
Nov 2021 • Family
Had the most lovely couple of hours here with my 4 year old grandaughter. Bought some reindeer food on the way in to feed the reindeer....which really thrilled my grandaughter.
There were plenty of informative signs explaining everything about each animal.
Capebara, wallabys alligators, rare cattle and sheep, monkeys, deer, porcupine, giant tortoise, anteater, armadillos and a massive variety of amazing birds to name but a few!!!
All the animals looked healthy and well cared for my personal favourite was the beautiful snowfox . Thanks to the lovely staff at wild discovery

Who Doesn't Love Mo, Curly and Larry?
Nov 2021
As a joint gift experience, I decided to book the Capybara experience for my birthday with my fiancé, as we had both wanted to do an experience with capybaras for so long. The day was perfect, and the zoo itself was fantastic. All of the staff were warm and welcoming, and the talks were informative, interesting and fun to experience! We held Spike the gecko, watched the birds roaming around and saw the otters and binturong eating lunch. To top it off, we sat in with Mo, Curly and Larry, giving them all the food, pets and scratches they could possibly want, under the supervision of the amazing Kate! She was so

Lovely little zoo
Oct 2021 • Family
The staff here are so friendly and helpful. It makes a lovely afternoon out. It is clear the animals are well cared for and the talks are really interesting.

It is well laid out and covid safe with one way systems. The little gift shop is fairly priced and the ice creams afterwards are lovely.

Never too busy and appeals to all the family. Good value for money with a second visit included.

Fab capybara encounter
Nov 2021 • Family
We surprised our teen with a capybara encounter for his birthday and he loved it. They are so darn cute and the educator made the experience fun, safe and informative.

Hidden gem
Nov 2021 • Family
Visited with our two children 7 and 10. We all had a fantastic time. Different animals from a typical zoo which we loved as we had never seen armadillos or anteaters before. Very reasonably priced for what you get to see. All the staff we friendly and knowledgeable. We got to see the bird show and also the kids got to hold a snake. Will be returning.

Lovely afternoon out
Nov 2021 • Family
We live nearby yet I wasn't aware that this place existed until recently. What a shame! Spent a lovely 3 hours having a wander and seeing the animals with my 22 month old.

We spoke to a few of the keepers/people who work there and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and happily spent time with us and answered our questions. We watched the bird display and spent time at the animal encounter, both of which we enjoyed.

Very reasonably priced for an afternoon with the kids (bonus that, if you leave, you can come back later in the day without having to pay again). We'll definitely be back soon.

Fun day out
Nov 2021 • Family
Well what a pleasant surprise this was.
Day ticket to Ribby Hall meaning we could make use of all the attractions, including Wild Discovery.
Plenty of parking, a lovely lady at the admission window and then the animals.
Our granddaughter was so excited from the moment we entered and this continued all the way around.Whilst a few of the animals were inside, under their heat lamps (it was chilly), we could still see most of them and there were plenty outside.
An exciting and eclectic mix of animals.
We watched the bird ‘display’ and it was great the way the birds were encouraged to go near the customers.
We also did the animal encounter - a gecko on our day- and our granddaughter actually got to hold it, very brave.
You can go in & out of Wild Discovery so after lunch we went back in and a few more of the animals were outside.
We will definitely go back, great value for money.
