Its always nice to walk along that banks of the The River Ribble. Better on a summers day, when the grass is dry and plenty of wildlife around to improve the scenery.

Always a pleasure walking along the river after walking through Avenham. It's brilliant on a summers day. It's often full of wildlife, easily 20+ swans on some occasions. It's a very welcome escape from the centre. The only gripe would probably be the small homeless...More

A peaceful and relaxing place for walking, running or cycling. Great place to see the steam train (when operating) on weekends if you find right spot to view (seen Father Christmas several times!). However, if you plan to access the path (called The Guild Wheel)...More

This is a great river plenty of fish in it and the odd dead sheep, very full last time I saw it. Sometimes there is less water in it but it's not a good river for swimming
