Fab theatre, brill panto. The venue is lovely and with it being small, you get to see the stage from where ever you are sitting. Restaurant on site, that serves many food options and alcohol, a little pricey though! A great place to watch a show.

We visit this fabulous theatre every year and bring along the whole family to see Malcolm Stent's pantomimes. They never fail to delight and entertain us and this year was no exception. We saw the production of Dick Whittington - such great fun, brilliant music, singers and dancers as well as an extremely talented cast. Costumes, lighting, all first class.... More

We went to see Dick Whittington this year at The Core as the cost at Birmingham Hippodrome was extortionate! We found the venue to be lovely and as it is small it means everyone has a good view of the stage. My daughter had never been to a Pantomime before but she loved the show - we will certainly go... I really should go more often as when I do I always enjoy it. The weakness is the quality of wine on offer. So simple to overcome. Why not ask Laithwaites to run a wine bar?

Have a mix of different shows on and as it's not a huge place you get a really good view! The way it's set out, no matter if your seats are way back, you can still see what's happening on the stage. Nice cafe area too.

In the Core Theatre centre, there is a very good library, and excellent theatre and as I found this morning, an excellent restaurant. I love my Full English Breakfasts, and have one a week. Today I found this special place where for £5.50, I had a fried egg, a sausage, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms, half a tomato, beans and... More

Yes indeed, the tiers of seats provide an excellent view of the stage and there is a reasonable amount of leg room. However, the seats are very narrow. Furthermore the signing for the stage entrances is minimal to say the least.
