Heard lots of people rave about this place, telling me it's like a day out. It's very small, lots of large foliage plants along the walkways getting in your face. Really liked the ambience. It's a welcome change and something different so I would go back. Service was really slow, it wasn't even busy. The food was ok but was cold! Good selection of drinks and deserts. Lots of quirkiness and interesting things to look at.

Very uncomfortable both inside and outside. Had two coffees but a soft drink was added to my bill. Won't be going back!

Curried goat was vile! There was a group of 60 of us for an engagement party and food was brought out 3 people every 30 mins so waited a very long time! Some people on our table waited 1 hour for food after the person next to me had theirs within 5 mins. Entertainment was brilliant staff were lovely however... More

Reviewing the restaurant. Lukewarm bland food and lots of it. Given the limited menu a surprise that it couldn't have been better. Service rather erratic. The idea is great but shan't rush back.

Had a meal there last night as a group of 11, it's African styling is quite nice and recognisable if you have been to Africa, staff were friendly - but the food! Between the 11 of us we had nearly all of the menu and not one of us enjoyed the meal. The alleged spicy curry was very bland and... More

Visited Akamba for the first time to get some plants. We also shared the Caribbean platter and had a glass of wine. Lovely setting and atmosphere. We will definitely be back with more family members. It was a lovely afternoon out and the staff were very helpful.

Have been a couple of times to Akamba but this time took some Family, it feels like you are in a bit of Africa. The plants for sale are hardy tropical type, and there is a small gift shop with African made items for sale. Also there is a restaurant and bar which is done out African style also tables... More
