Whilst touring round the market town of Tewkesbury we just had to drop in at the museum. A warm welcome awaited us in this historic building. Lots to see and do, we felt very well educated by the time we left. A big thankyou to the staff that assisted us on our visit.

The whole of Tewkesbury is something of a hidden gem, and the town's museum certainly fits that bill. It tells the tale of the local area, with wonderful displays and exhibits, well worth visiting.

We only spent 30 mins here as it's not very big, but glad we did. The volunteers were friendly and informative. It doesn't have a theme as such, you'll see a collection of Victorian mechanical fayre items, to a school room with information on different people, through to information about the American GIs and how they were accepted into the community, add to that other wars and roman history. It's worth a peep just to feel the history of the building itself…
