Was looking for a place to kill time my toddler son in Watford. Noticed this large park on Google maps, and tested. Was nicely surprised, it turned to be on of top UK parks by voting. It is really good, spacious, very green, has a wetlands reserve, rich playground, green area, walking paths, open air gym, fountains and shallow pools! Kids really have massive fun here. There public toilets, cafes and tap water stand. Everything is quite new, not much wear and tear. Enjoyed lock operations to move a boat upstream. Great experience! Parking is super busy there, arrive early, or choose a underground station nearby. More or less people start to leave only at 5 pm. It is a full day family time.

What a great park. We called here as we were waiting to go to Warner Brothers studios at our allotted time and we had a morning to pass on. We walked through the park passing the water area, which looked very tempting, but our grandson declined to use as he didn't want to get wet before visiting Harry Potter! We walked on to the play area, and a ride on the railway, before heading to the cafe for a sandwich lunch which was quite reasonably priced. An amazing place and all within walking distance of our hotel.

So many areas in this park. Large play area next to miniature railway and splash park. A nature walk by the river. Acres of park land. A toddler play area and two cafes. Co to Cha Cafe for better food options and prices. Love this park.
Paying for parking using the app is slow and annoying.

Very disappointed with queuing for water park and even the playground. All in the open air yet my grandchildren couldn't get in the park one in one out. After queuing for water park couldn't get in told there were 100 people in and would have to wait in queue for another 1 1/2 hours. I believe a paper ticket system would be appropriate as in the heat I couldn't expect myself and grandchildren to wait. I know covid has changed things but surely common sense should prevail. We are here on holiday seeing our grandchildren and all other parks weren't manned neither was whipsnade zoo outside areas or odds farm.
We left after two hours of waiting around disappointed.

Great park, cafe and miniature railway
Always lots to see birds and assorted wildlife free in the area not caged
In the summer months there is a water park for the kids and clean new toilets including disabled ones at near reach 2 hours free parking but will get busy in peak times so arrive early . it can be muddy of the beaten path so go prepared . Also it you want to go for a little stroll there is the canal and narrow boats to see . These are peoples homes so be respectfull no climbing. I was taken there as kid with my brother and grandparents now I do the same with my kids except they dont get to swim in the canal these days!!
ENJOY YOU DAYS they will soon grow out of it

After so long being locked away and avoiding the world due to COVID we decided to try Cassiobury Park and so glad we did. We were hungry so started off in the restaurant which was serving food out on the patio. Very tasty burger and chips. Everyone including staff was masked inside the building and the tables were. Well distanced outside.
Went for a walk through the nature reserve which was lovely and overgrown how a nature reserve should be. Strolled on the edge of the park for the canal, ancient bridge and waterfall which was cool under the trees and very relaxing.
Then back into the park which is vast and beautiful. The water features and pools were not in use but there is a very extensive children's play area, a fairground carousel and an excellent train ride.
I'm looking forward to going back with my kids and grandkids.

Wonderful day, great facilities, swimming splashpools were extremely clean! Loved the online system (you need to sign up to the 'everyone active' app and book a time slot to cassiobury splashpools. Means no queing with the kids. The train ride was loved by all ages, the train staff were lovely, the river walk lovely! Tip is to get to the Grade car park early which is right at the park, after 12 on a busy day is extremely busy 👍

We visited the park for a stroll during a stay nearby and found it a nice place to visit. Its really big with plenty of walking routes. The cafe and toilets were open as was the play area. There seemed to be a good water area for use in summer too. Lots of parking, first 2hrs free, charges apply after.

Very disappointed.
Be warned there is no parking around the park. Came back to my car to find a yellow parking ticket. There are no signs or parking bays to suggest parking along the road would attract a parking ticket.
The parking warden had issued tickets to every other car!!!!!!!
Of course this will be nightmare to try to dispute knowing the local council.
Very disappointing that the Council are pursuing this tactic to rise money.
The Council need to be open and transparent with their new parking

Was there with family and really enjoyed the time. Its a huge park with oodles of natural beauty. The sky was clear and we could see till far.. It felt as if we were seeing wallpapers on windows! There is a big children play area. We went around 4 pm, the park was not crowded. They were preparing for the upcoming dinosaur event. Unfortunately the cafes were closed. Overall good experience. Will visit again for sure.

What is the name of the pub? Not the one above the artificial ponds the other one that has a small playground. I need to contact them for a reservation. Thank you

Hi As others have said there are no pubs in the park. However if you want a pub there is one in Langely way. Leave the park at the bottom entrance/exit and walk up the hill on Langely way and you'll find on the roundabout. About a 5 min walk. They do serve food and have a garden.

Hi Gemma,
I was there yesterday and the pools weren't open.
I believe they're due to open in July.
Hope that helps?
