Located on a quiet hillside, just to the side of a very busy road between Sutton at Hone and Darenth, is the tasteful memorial to Flight Officer Nathaniel John Barry, who lost his life, aged 22, when his Hurricane crashed nearby. There is little else here, just a granite block with inscription & RAF insignia, but being in such a nice area of Kent with so many sights nearby, it is worth looking out for if passing. But being exposed to the elements, perhaps one for a warm dry summer's day.
