Ok, but no longer a pub !
The refurb is good but the new management appear to want to turn this pub into an eating only house. The comfortable chairs are all but gone and have been replaced with stiff backed chairs clearly encouraging an " eat and go attitude " saw the manager ( appeared to be South African " telling member of staff not to argue with him !!! Yet another drinkers pub perishes (

The poor relation of Wetherspoons in maidstone
Out of the 2 Wetherspoons in Maidstone this is unfortunately the poor relation, seems to attract the wrong sort. Needs a bit of updating, staff friendly enough & can get very busy at lunchtimes

Definitely where most people start on a night out in Maidstone- decor is a bit outdated and it can get VERY crowded and busy (practically full) but good, cheap drinks and a buzzing atmosphere!

If I could give 0000 stars I would.
The manager in this place is incompetent as a
A crowd of 12 or so friendly people having a Christmas drink causing nobody any harm, he asked one of us to move slightly so they could get from the kitchen though to the pub, even though there was another route around us which took NO LONGER. 3 hours later the bouncers came up to us acting on false information from this incompetent manager, the bouncer then backed down after he realised he was working for a ridiculous establishment.
Claiming that the staff where receiving abuse from us!? ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH!!! Baring in mind we had been in there from about 2 pm spending money, and would have carried on spending money, the way we where treated was absolutely horrendous. No one had come up to us to ask us if we could move more than we already had.
The manager on the 23rd December should be absolutely ashamed of himself, I cannot express any further my disgust. Not once did he try and come up to us and speak to us.
YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF.

This is a solid Wetherspoon. Well run, and usually clean and tidy. The upstairs is the best place. It does feel a little more like a cafe or restaurant than a pub upstairs, but that's the only quibble. You can buy drinks upstairs or downstairs - but you get a better selections of ales downstairs, so it's worth the extra effort. The tables by the windows are favourite, and those tend to be the ones that go first - so if you see one vacant, grab it quick!

This place is a tip. Appreciate there are problems at present , But if staff chat to their friends instead of taking orders, customers will not be happy.
I walked out and went somewhere decent... where staff were a bit more professional...

Nasty ass cold food served up 15 minutes after the rest of the table. Burger was missing items listed on the menu with no explanation as to why. Only thing they got right was the drink!

Been to the Muggleton on several occasions, usually sit at the front, looking out onto the High Street.
Visited today at around 12:30 & decided to sit at the rear in a booth. This was a sorry mistake as felt as if we were in a creche, with screaming children, loud noise from children's 'entertainment' devices and in fact adults loud phones!
The above of course is not Wetherspoons doing but the lack of food on my plate certainly was. British Chilli with Tortillas, or should I say lack of as I think I counted 6 tortillas. Certainly not the amount that should be expected and this is from aenu choice where a free drink is not included so no value for money here.
I will mo doubt return but will not be sitting in the creche end, nor ordering the chilli.

Came here with a few other mates and was not impressed with how service was.
I wanted to order a Coke and then I get I.D just for having coke. I show my I.D anyway. All of my mates had I.D and then the next thing we our all kicked out. It’s happened to other people I heard as well.
