Let me start by saying I’ve got an unlimited card, I’ve had it for about 13 years and it’s brilliant, I use it all the time.

Seeing as I’ve had it for over a year, I’ve got a black card, allowing me 25% off food and drinks bought on site at any Cineworld. Even after the 25% off, it’s still very expensive to buy some average popcorn and a soft drink which you can get from any supermarket, restaurant etc.

I’m certain that if they halved their prices, they’d sell more than twice as much, making them more profit than now! How on earth anyone can warrant paying the full (roughly) £10 on a large popcorn and drink, is beyond me.

But, that said, this is my favourite cinema with polite and helpful staff. The screens are fine, with adequate and comfortable seating.

We travelled from Bedfordshire specifically to see the film 1917 at this spectacular cinema complex. The auditorium was clean, the seats looked new and were really comfortable. Great view of the screen and the sound was good too. Parking was plentiful and cheap at 50p an hour in the purple section. Beware the red zone though! Well worth a visit.

So my mum and I come to this cinema pretty much on a weekly basis.
I've held an unlimited card for about ten years now and we feel like this place is a second home almost.
We see a mixture of genres and find most screens are pretty decent. There are a few that the seats are noticeably smaller and less leg room.
Popcorn or sweets are often acquired and with our discount from our unlimited cards it seems rude not to.
Most staff friendly and helpful.
Also great that we can get our parking money back each time.

Oh dear, I can understand why Cineworld is in the news for being on the brink of bankruptcy.
The girl serving drinks etc. did NOT manage to provide a mixed salt/sweet popcorn, and when there is a queue, don't have another staff member clean un-used tills while everyone waits.
The seats demanding a premium cost that is supposed to be VIP are the same as the rest.
If you are paying for the better position/view, then state that, not the seats.
Luxury recliner seats at another cinema chain were the same price, and chalk & cheese in better value.
Fortunately, the film was good (not something I would rate against the cinema anyway), but our usual cinema blows Cineworld away if I were not on holiday.

We're both Unlimited card holders and went to see the Jumanji film on their X-screen (the one that displays on the main screen and side walls) on 31/7/2020.
A few minutes into the film the right hand display packed up. The main screen and left hand wall continued to work. After the performance, we spoke to several employees, the last one went off to speak to a manager. After a few minutes it was clear she wasn't coming back so we left. We still don't know why it wasn't working, but we won't be wasting money on the x-screen again. £6 wasted and we're currently reviewing our unlimited membership. Fortunately, the film was very poor so it wasn't much of a loss.

I took my 3 and 4 year-old for their first ever trip to the cinema. Technical issue with movie (these things happen) and while we were waiting (over an hour) they played a string of trailers featuring adult content. (Gunfights etc.) We left and came back when these had finished. We watched 20 minutes of the movie and left to catch the train home.

Because there was no time to look for the manager, I emailed customer services when I got home. They sent a few pre-prepared irrelevant responses that didn't acknowledge the fact that children were exposed to adult content and why they failed to safeguard them on this occasion. When I raised this again, I received another 'drop-down' response to say they considered the matter closed and wouldn't be responding to any further emails.

If you're looking for a cinema to visit with children, I'd avoid Cineworld.

Kiosks all out of order, escalator needs a service, wi-fi inoperable, air conditioning completely failed and start disinterested. Fallen into disrepair in recent years. Dave yourself the sweat and disappointment and go to the Odeon instead

In brief: I have a problem with them advertising a "Super Screen" (Screen 10 "super screen") which is an average size and NOT Super! And hot dogs which were served as cold dogs! 4DX had loads of issues and not worth the extra money! When it did work it was very distracting. Read on.......

Don't be fooled by the title as this cinema's Super Screen (Screen 10) is not big at all. For a cinema to state they have a "Super Screen" it needs to be a BIG screen and it's not. For the extra money it is no way worth it at all. If you compare it to Northampton Cineworld screen 5 the Milton Keynes screen is 1/2 the size! It's a real shame as the new foyer is gorgeous but just a shame they haven't actually done enough as part of their renovations! Yes compared to your home it is a "Super Screen" but compared to other cinemas it's an average size! If you want a "Super Screen" go to Cineworld O2 in London. The "Small Super Screen" in Milton Keynes is screen number 10 and in my opinion not worth the extra money at all. Yes it has Dolby ATMOS and the picture quality is very clear, but the vast majority of cinemas have high quality projectors now and starting to install ATMOS systems so it's not unique and you shouldn't be fooled that it is at this cinema.

4DX. First off the screen does not appear to have been upgraded as it's the same quality, and size, as the previous screen therefore all that's been upgraded is the additional 4DX effects (and from the sound of it the speaker system). Bit of a shame as again the Milton Keynes customers are getting slightly conned again thinking they have a whole new cinema when you actually don't. You are only getting a cosmetic upgrade and new 4DX system without a new large screen!
Now the sound is great, that can't be faulted but the whole 4DX system was a complete waste of time as it obviously had issues since it's so new in this cinema but when it did work it was totally distracting. Throughout the whole movie (Jupiter Rising - which was not a good movie) the seats only moved 5% of the time. When they did move it threw you all over the place and made the whole movie viewing experience worse! The wind effect were pointless, the smoke was like someone puffed out cigarette smoke and was annoying, and the wind blowing in your ears (bullet shots) was very annoying as it felt like someone was blowing in your ear all the time. The back of the seats prodded you now and again and was extremely frustrating and distracting. Water that did spray out was feeble! All in all it distracts you from the main movie and does completely opposite than enhancing the movie experience. D-BOX didn't last long in Milton Keynes and I have a feeling 4DX won't either (just the same that 3D home tv screens have never been a success).
Why do cinema chains think the public want new pointless technologies or another way to charge extra for something you don't need (they already make 400% plus on popcorn so that's where the money is). All we want is huge screens (or IMAX), clear HD quality projectors, comfortable seating, and great sound.
Oh and yes we all got complimentary tickets at the end since the 4DX was playing up.

Food!!! We had another issue with the hot dogs. Loads of different hot dogs to choose from but they were cold. Complained and they checked the temperatures and all of then were below serving temperature (about 30 of them) and we were advised they were not ready until another 10 minutes. Funny that as I saw then serve 2 more to other customers. Hope they enjoyed their undercooked cold hot dogs. Surely if they have them behind the counter ready to serve customers they should be cooked or is this the actual device that cooks them and you have pot luck if you get one cooked or not?

Toilets very nice, fresh, clean but hot water tap was cold even after running it for a while.

If you want a great cinema experience there are 2 Cineworld locations which are fantastic. O2 in London as the "Sky" screen is huge! Seats are lovely and the sound system is amazingly loud! Or Birmingham Broad Street as most of their screens are very big, comfortable seats and their IMAX projectors are amazing and the screen is huge and the sound is fantastic with an ear shattering bass system. 2 of their best cinemas by far. Milton Keynes? Very average and extremely over priced! If you are stuck in Milton Keynes (or if you live there) then you are stuck with the inflated prices for an experience which is not that good. If you start travelling around you will start to see other Cineworld locations have lots more to offer (or you could go to the Odeon site in Bletchley).

We are frequent film-goers and wanted to see what the 4DX experience was all about. Went to see 'Chappie' in 2D 4DX. We had pre-booked tickets online in advance. First frustration was trying to collect the tickets from the automated machines; had to get one of the attendants over to physically open the thing so we could get our tickets out. We saw him opening another machine straight after so it's obviously an issue at the moment. Next frustration was queuing to pay for a few sweets. You cannot pay for sweets and ice cream anywhere else apart from the sweet and ice cream counter (so if you want popcorn etc you will have to queue twice, 2 different locations). On top of that, it's also possible to purchase tickets at the sweet & ice cream till (possibly also at the popcorn tills but we didn't purchase things over there). So, the 2 people in front of us both wanted to book seats, while paying for their sweets. Which adds significantly to your queuing time - nevermind if you then want to go and purchase popcorn, hot dogs etc in the other area!! FRUSTRATING!!! Why, oh why, can they not have ALL the food in the same place, and enable people to pay for everything at the same time. And NOT sell tickets at the food counters!!! There's a large area outside the cinema where people can purchase tickets from attendants, as well as several automated machines.
We found the whole 4DX experience a total waste of time; a few small puffs of smoke near the screen, and a whole load of seat jerking, puffs of wind in your ears, and occasionally being pummelled sharply in the back. All detracted from the film itself to be quite honest. I found myself trying to figure out what the chair was going to do next so I could prepare myself, rather than sit back, relax and enjoy the (rather mediocre in my opinion) film. Never again!
On the plus side, the new cinema LOOKS fantastic. Just a shame about the poor arrangement for food etc.

I had not been here since its been made over but there is still an issue with not enough tills for the amount of people! We had to queue to buy overpriced food and drinks for 20 minutes! Crazy! The stress of it all means I won't be back any time soon
