Had a lovely walk around Willen lake, it was quite busy but you could still keep your distance from others. Parking in the cricket pavilion car park is free down Hooper Gate and Portland Drive but there are not loads of spaces and it was filled quickly as we went on a Wednesday morning. The bit round the north lake where the path dips and rises was flooded so we were unable to walk around the smaller lake, but there had been efforts to make the bird hide walk less muddy. It was a very relaxing walk.

Avoid this place like a plague. Faulty car park machine will give you a ticket receipt but not pay. Sounds incredible, that's exactly what happened. Ended up having to pay £200 in penalties because I thought with ticket in hand I had paid. Never ever going back there and neither should you. It's a total scam set up to hit you in the pocket. Terrible place

It is awful to have to leave a negative review for Willen lake as this is a place we love going with accessible walks for my disabled husband. However sadly we feel unable to go again having been slammed with a fix penalty notice despite paying for the parking at the machine. This was in the North car park. The machine did not issue a ticket but registered our car number plate and took our money. We have noticed numerous reviews for Napier car parks where people experienced similar problems. This feels like a scam to rob law abiding citizens of their money.

Mid week may not be the best time to visit if you want all the action, but for a quiet walk around , it's not bad. The passing traffic on all sides , doesn't let you forget that this isn't some quiet idyll

Great adventure on the high ropes. Despite the wet weather it was still really fun and didn’t effect our visit. Fun atmosphere and would love to go again, preferably in better weather 😊
