Not bad for a soft play but terrible parking!
Feb 2020 • Friends
Visited here with friends over half term period. As it was half terms the place was busy even at 1030am, and the small car park was full when we arrived. I phoned to ask where else we could park, as did my friend, and the staff were unhelpful and said they simply could not suggest anywhere.Frustrsting to say the least, everywhere surrounding this place is double yellow lined with clamping sines about. Parking situation is useless, and puts us off visiting again which is a shame. We ended up finding parking, but had a 20 minute walk in pouring rain. As soft plays go, this is ok albeit a bit dated. It's a decent size and seemed relatively clean. Just a shame you cant park with ease.

Come onnnnn

Please sort this place out!!!!

Staff just gossip at the main counter, rather than dealing with rogue, wreckless kids (yes parents are responsible, but when parents are dealing with bad behaviour, staff should be asking these families to leave) or they could be cleaning any of the many filthy areas (in the play area and outside it). The sliding wrecking ball was also broken.

Paid extra to upgrade my kids tickets to include meals. Food was abysmal. Unhealthy, overcooked, and poor/cheap quality.

Have been here several times over the years, but seriously!! When will their management sort the place out? Grubby, out-dated, poorly run.

Lowered Standards and Little Regard for Safety
Oct 2019 • Family
Attended on a recent wet weekend day. As expected it was very busy. However they appear to not have a point where they reach capacity and turn the customer away. I’m sure somewhere this breaches health and safety whether that be due to overloaded equipment, lack of first aider to guest ratio or just simple overcrowding!
The area for smaller children (crawlers/early walkers) is over run by older children at both peak and off-peak periods - there is no “crowd control”. Furthermore the range of toys/equipment for the younger ages is very limited.
The venue has certainly dropped its cleaning standards gradually over the past two years. The carpets are filthy, the equipment could also do with a clean.
The staff seem to have minimal pride in their job. They spend the majority of their time behind the counter on their phones.
Suggestions - have a staff member at the entrance to the smaller play area in peak periods to prevent older children gaining access.
When you reach a point where the place is too busy perhaps allocate time slots and a coloured wristband scheme ... allowing for a safer environment where 1 year olds will not get knocked over by rampaging 4/5 year olds!

Seeing as this is the only remaining larger soft play in Basingstoke perhaps you should respect your customers and take pride in your venue. Offering value and quality will build a loyal customer base. At this point I will no longer be returning or recommending this venue. I will travel slightly further to Reading/Wokingham for a better standard of soft and role play environment.

Really needs money spending on it!
Sep 2019 • Family
I’ve visited a few times in the last 18 months and until this summer really enjoyed the visits but lately the place feels very tired and on wet days (when I would tend to opt for soft play) the roof leaks leaving children in soaking wet clothes and slipping on wet mats. Also the once fantastic slides are really slow and sticky, it took my daughter ages to drag herself down this week when at Easter for example she flew down!
The sofas are very worn and thread bare.... I just think it needs some money throwing at it and if that meant increased entry price then I would be ok with that.

This place was great and I miss that!

Best not to ask ?
Sep 2019 • Family
This is really fun place for the young kids, lots to do and plenty of activities. One word of caution for adult the centre has a very inconsistent policy regarding taking in snacks for your kids whilst they play. If you ask on entry your told No you can’t bring food in. Once your inside the tables are full of kids lunch boxes and rucksacks. Fair enough if the policy is no outside food OK but at least be consistent and enforce it so it’s not just the honest up front people who suffer

A Godsend
Jul 2019 • Family
I visited Playdays recently with two 5 year old children. The admittance was very good price:quality and the staff were very polite. It was a pleasure to see young people employed there, gaining a work ethic and good character. Playdays is obviously a good place for the community, training younger employees for work experience and I'm very grateful for the enjoyable day my children spent there. They particularly loved the slides, and the food was good quality especially aimed for children, and was at the perfect price point that keeps your day out budget. Thank you Playdays! You are a great help for us stay at home mum's who's got energetic and fun loving kids who drive you nuts!

I've been visiting playdays for years and my kids love it! Food is great! The play equipment itself is good fun and we spend lots of time there. However, the past 6 months we have been very disappointed. The cleanliness has really gone downhill. The chairs and tables are dirty, coffee spills up the table legs, food left in tables, the soft play is grubby. On a quiet days there recently all staff where behind the counter on their phones, when really cleaning should be a priority during quieter times. Ive never seen anyone cleaning the soft play or anything apart from the table tops after they clear them. The sofas are torn and some soft play in the younger area is looking very worn out!
I'm certainly put off visiting now for these reasons and it's a shame because we all love going to playdays

A total waste of money
Feb 2019 • Family
Arrived on a very busy half term, admittedly it seemed extremely short staff as there was half eaten food on tables and floors. I question parents who leave the area like that, but it really was disgusting. Due to it being so busy myself and older daughter were forced to sit on the floor that looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for an extremely long time. Other Parents selfishly took up sofas with coats, whilst others sat on floors around them which left me felling very sad- are people this thoughtless nowadays??? Whilst I appreciate that isn’t playdays fault, I feel there should be a capacity reached and perhaps a warning given prior to taking your money. My daughter lasted 25 minutes, which to me was a total waste of money.
