Suitable for all ages, part of the walkways are narrow or under trees, so during autumn lots of leaves on the floor. There are walkways going across/round the pond which is great for children to see the ducks/swans/geese etc close up. This park also hosts the weekly 'Parkrun' each Saturday at 9am. Overall a nice pleasant stroll/walk. During term time a local school appears to use part of the open space for sports.

get rid of scummy dog owners that let their dog crap on the walkway over the lake and think its ok to leave for every one to walk in.

2 stars because the grandkids love feeding the geese and ducks.

The park is big and you can walk around. The best park is the old mill (not open all the year, so check it before) and the long board walk on the lake. There is ample parking place around.

My kids love Ifield Mill pond, , call it Auckland, it is so quiet and clean, full with all typed of birds and ducks, we go and feed the ducks and have a little picnic on the bench, lots to learn about, my kids are 7, 5 and 3 and always ask to go here, it's free and the fresh air is so good for them, it's safe and all the people we have met are super friendly, mainly dog walkers, the good thing is there is a little tesco up the hill, so no need to make a picnic, you can just grab some sandwiches and a drink from there, even some bread of something for the ducks, so a really good back up for a park, also there is a park and another duck pond at the shop, so it turns into a nice little morning out, Ifield west is clean and safe, it's a hidden gem, also a little bit of history to learn about with the museum there too. Highly recommend it for young families looking for a cheap morning out the house.

This is a nice peaceful place to visit for a stroll over the footbridge whilst observing the wildlife. Our grandchildren, aged 9 and 5 were not at all bored and enjoyed seeing the ducks and other wildfowl.
The local council has spent millions of pounds in making this area family friendly and they deserve credit for what they have done.

Loathe to rate this highly in case hoards of people flock there and spoil it's charm. Great place to see birds and have a quite place to think.

Very nice walk, peaceful and much cleaner than it used to be.
Lovely birds, wildlife haven...water is clean and pond well looked after. Easy access, flat surface.
Maybe a few more benches on site ....

The ducks and geese love sweetcorn. They ask you not to feed them bread. Its a safe place for children.

The ducks love a feed and the children love feeding them. A lovely area to explore. It is a haven amongst the urbanisation surrounding it.

I go there frequently to relax and unwind. It is great on a Summer's day.
So if you are looking for a nice location to chill-out, try here.
