My husband and I took his 13 year old to the nature centre in Tilgate Park on a Sunday afternoon. We needed to get out of the house and had no idea what to do with ourselves. We ended up here and had such a lovely time. There are lots of animals to see such as meerkats, wallabies, all sorts... More

Sunny September Sunday afternoon and the park is looking fabulous. Parked in the overflow car park for quick entrance to lakeside. Ideal for a sandwich lunch on the benches over-looking the lake. Delicious ice-cream and saunter round the lakes. All beautifully maintained but with lots of wildlife too. Love it!!

A regular haunt of ours. Very well maintained by Crawley BC and a very pleasant place to walk or cycle. Frequently take my granddaughters there for a cycle ride as a lap of the lake is just on 1 mile. Also a nice cafe in the grounds - well worth a visit.

Tucked away in the outskirts of Crawley, Tilgate Park is a hidden gem for families. We went many times throughout the summer holidays with friends and family. There is so much to do and see...from boating on the lake to walking in the forest, to the nature park, the cafe, the playground, the vast amounts of outdoor space...it is full... More

Great afternoon out. £1 an hour parking, £2.50 entry for the animals and all the money goes back into the upkeep of this lovely park. Huge lake with lovely walks and boats. Only downside is the icecream van with "tilgate park" prices - £4 for a small ice cream.

Tilgate park is a great family day out. You can walk around the whole lake which is about a 30 minute walk. There is a big park for children to play. You can try Go Ape at the extra charge. There is also an outdoor gym next to the lake. You can take out a boat on the lake but... More

We visited Tilgate park as my partners grandchildren were in the area. What a lovely place for a walk. We didn't get a chance to explore properly but loved what we saw.
