We played the 'Cluetankhamun' game, which was a lot of fun. We went as a family of four for a 30th Birthday. The puzzles felt fair, and not too obvious or obtuse. We managed to solve it, and it felt honestly like an achievement.
The staff were friendly and ran the game well. The price per person seemed fair for the effort that has been put into the games and props.

We completed the AI9 room last week as a group of 3. The room was really good, the puzzles nice and varied.
Some of the locks though, were pretty difficult to see in the dim light.. definitely take reading glasses if your eyesight isn't perfect. You might also need them when looking at one of the puzzles on a screen because the writing is pretty small.
There is only one room here, which is a bit of a shame as it's pretty exciting when you discover the next room to go in.
The hosts were great.. the clues came via a screen in the room. There was probably slightly too many clues than we'd ideally have liked. We escaped with almost 10 minutes remaining, so could have felt a little more challenged.
We'd definitely choose Clue HQ again to do one of the other rooms.

The 4 of us arrived straight from work, very tired and not sure what to expect. The layout of the game and rules was well explained. What then followed was 45 mins of highly competitive fun!! All 4 of us came out 'buzzing' having thoroughly enjoyed our escape from Bunker 38! Kane was great and sold us a returning offer for another escape room.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and helped where they could without trying to give too much away. This was our first escape room and decided on the cluetankahamun, However some of the puzzles were completely unclear even when they were explained. Even after they were explained sometimes it’s complete guess work. You’d have to try different combinations because the puzzles are set up wrong. For example the puzzle would lead you to the wrong number. This is mistake with the puzzle, which was pointed out to the staff who checked and agreed it needed changing.
The second point that was made is that the room we tried isn’t really suitable for 2 people because of the sheer amount of clues and puzzles you have to do between you. I made the point to a staff member that this should have been recommended before entry, in response they told me that the company don’t make this known because it would put off potential customers.
So I highly recommend only doing this in groups of 4-6
At £25 per person in a team of two it felt like a rip off. It was like they set it up for you to waste too much time on puzzles that aren’t even correctly set up.
It could have been enjoyable if it was more thought out and correctly put together.

We just played Cluetankhamun and were not really too impressed.
The staff didn’t seem interested and there is just no atmosphere. We have done 20-25 escape rooms and this one was pretty average at best.
One of the torches we were given did not work. No big issue but maybe check these before throwing them back into the bag for the next team.
The main issue for us was that we felt really rushed to complete the room and go home.
We booked the 8.30pm slot, we completed the room in 40 minutes and the main front doors were locked when we tried to leave.
But the reason for finishing in 40 minutes was because the host just kept displaying clues on the screen before we had barely had a chance to try and solve the puzzle.
At one point we even said to him “come on mate give us a chance to try the puzzles first before telling us the answer!”
The second to last clue was ridiculous, we literally found both halves of the prop needed and before we even got the props together they had displayed a clue telling us what to do.
It just seemed like they were waiting to go home for the night and wanted us out as soon as possible.
We did pass this feedback to the host afterwards and advised him to give people time to think and try puzzles for a few minutes first. He just said “well it’s our hardest room and most people need clues”
I understand that but if you aren’t even giving them a chance to try the puzzles or even think about them you are ruining the experience.

We had a very fun hour in bunker38! Great room and the puzzles were lots of fun to solve. If I was rating just the hour in the room then it would get 5 stars as we did enjoy it!
However, I’m only give this 3 stars due to cost and location, it’s very expensive (£60 for an hour) even with the groupon voucher it works out at £54 for a weekend booking so not a great saving. I suppose if you have the full 6 people then it’s better value for money, but there were only 3 of us so not cheap. Having said that the room felt tight with just 3 so I think fitting 6 in would be an issue for this particular room.
The location is not great, it’s in a laser tag / soft play so when you are watching the video at the start it is hard to hear over the screaming kids!
We would go back for another room if it came up on groupon but it seems that only bunker38 is on the offer.

We've now visited twice after purchasing the return voucher offer following the first visit. Our group was aged 15-50 and there was something challenging for all of us.
Thankfully the staff, Tom on the most recent visit in Feb 2020, kept a good eye/ear on what's going on as we needed the regular hints to get us through.
That's two rooms done with every intention of completing the remaining rooms when we're able. Great fun!

First one I’ve done and I’ll say it won’t be the last. Great fun and really gets you thinking and working together. We went as a family but I can imagine this would also be great for work team building as well as friends and family fun! I haven’t really shopped around so I’m terms of value I don’t know how to compare but it seemed like good value for what you get out of it. Host’s were nice so no complaints. Recommend giving it a go.

Our third room here (Bunker 38 this time) and we made it out with 7+ minutes to spare! A fantastic escape room experience and easy enough for two of us (mum and 12 yr old) to complete in the 60 minutes. One of the clues wasn't working, but our games master was able to help out and it didn't hinder us in the slightest. We'd love to see more variety in the types of puzzle in future games (very combo/key padlock-heavy) but we still had lots of fun! Would recommend.

decided to give the escape game a go, prior to booking for a crowd of us. asked about if any good and friends said this place was pretty good. not sure if I would like it as fear of being locked in lol and small spaces, but was okay and felt safe - only thing to say is padlocks are hard to read and takes precious time, once you get going its real fun but would say more of you the better chance of completing, but still enjoyed dispite not making it out lol - it does take a little bit of time to get in to the swing of it and if we had longer time as only two people we may have got a little further

Am I allowed to take a packed lunch in the escape room? I have a problem that if my blood sugar levels get below 18.0, then I end up on the floor. I don't want the little kiddies seeing me, thinking I'm some sort of attraction in the escape room. I'm not a robot.

There are tables and chairs before you go inside, and a cafe. Not sure if you can have your own food, best ask the.
You are only in the room for an hour.
