had a walk round the park with my wife.it took us almost an hour to walk right round.the only downside with the walk is there are very few seats should you need a rest as we did[oap] but otherwise its a nice relaxing walk.

This lovely park is really near to the city centre.Plenty of spacefor walking or sitting.walks along the river are good.Nicely kept and areas are clean.Good parking.

lovely walks around the park and surround areas. great cafe for a pit stop, nice tea and bacon sandwiches. but gets very busy on Sunday mornings

Has rhodedendrons in the season and a walled garden with hydrangeas of all colours. The river Derwent runs through.Great for strolling .Has concert every year in September with popular classical music,a cafe and sports facilities

Such a fab clean park, small carpark at the top of the hill, it is always kept super clean and the cafe is pretty cheap, they don't take card tho... it's always busy, and lots of people waking their dogs... there is a lovely little...More

Fabulous park i have spent many good times here in summer and winter from the fireworks concert to sledding down the hill it also has a lovely cafe.

I'd also recommend the Abbey Inn, it's a lovely Sam Smith pub in a historic building.

The only shop I know there is the cafe, so probably not. I think there's a garden centre near Markeaton Park, which is a mile or two away.
