We came not really knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. The guide was very informative and engaging, giving lots of details about the birds of prey being shown. Great little cafe as well which was a bonus. We were worried that it would be cancelled due to the poor weather but there was a great indoor room that was used. Would definitely recommend.

This place is great.
We had a fantastic private experience meeting and flying so many birds I lost count. Thankfully we had loads of time to take photos and plenty of magic moments with the birds.
With enormous thanks to the A-Team (our father-daughter falconers) whose passion and enthusiasm was inspiring and made our visit all the more special.
Recommend a private experience as a brilliant birthday or anniversary gift, but no doubt their group sessions are also fantastic.
Thanks again A-Team

My friend and I came on a chilly day to the falconry experience in Center Parcs. Richard our expert for the day was very friendly from the start and let our wives spectate and take pictures and videos which kind was of him. Due to icey conditions the display had to be moved fairly last minute from its usual spot which ended up with us being 15 - 20 minutes late to start. When paying for an hour this would normally have been a cause for concern but Rich more than made up for it by giving us longer with the birds, bringing out Thor the African Tawny Eagle, and even letting our wives have a hold of a couple of birds at the end. Lovely to have that level of understanding and customer care. We learnt so much about the birds personalities, training techniques, and how they would behave in the wild. It was also an insight into the world of being a Falconer. We saw Cookie the Kookaburra, Cassie the Harris Hawk, Billy the Buzzard and Thor. Would definitely recommend to any bird enthusiast, or anyone who enjoys new experiences!

We took part in the 3 hour experience today. The session was split into two with the first half focussed on owls, the second on other birds of prey. We were disappointed that the experience was in such a large group of other visitors. At no point when booking were we told it was going to be a large group which made it less of a special, memorable experience and more of a production line. There were 15 in our group and as a result it took almost half an our to pass round one tiny owl. There was a lot Of sitting around (in the freezing weather) waiting for your very brief turn. When things got exciting and a very large owl was finally brought out we were then told we weren’t allowed to hold it. Which was disappointing as I had held and flown a much larger owl when a visiting falconer came to the school I work at. The owl session sadly was rather dull. The second session was better as the young lady taking it had some charisma and was able to share her knowledge with us in a more entertaining way. But again it felt like a production line due to the very large group. When the large eagle came out at the end, which we were all waiting for, she then announced it was the end of the experience. you could sense from the others in the group the dissapointment that again, we weren’t going to get an opportunity to hold it or go up close. She did explain that the eagle was a bit unpredictable but the main picture on the online advert for the session is a lady holding an eagle, which we found to be rather misleading. If I had paid the normal rate of £50 per person I wouldnt feel it to be value for money. Don’t get me wrong the birds were beautiful and the staff were polite and friendly. However the actual time each individual got with the birds was brief and it was very impersonal, the group needed to be half the size for it to be a truly special experience. I’d love to do something like this again but will be sure to book a private or small group session.

Bought my partner a falconry experience as a gift through Groupon and only went because he wanted to. We were absolutely blown away with the birds, handlers, their knowledge and how much time we got with the birds. First hour and a half was spent with the raptors with Alice, who despite her young age, was incredibly knowledgeable about the birds. Flew a kestrel, harris hawk and buzzard numerous times plus she brought out an African eagle and a Golden eagle before we moved onto the owls. Then we switched to barn and eagle owls plus met a snowy owl and a gorgeous little Pygmy owl. Amazing three hours! Can not recommend enough, especially with a Groupon voucher. Amazing value for money.
Hint: take your voucher to the shop to check in and collect your wristband and then grab a coffee in the cafe and the handlers will collect you from there

What an amazing experience! All the birds are mesmerising, from the small and gentle to the big and dangerous! The keepers are all wonderful and obviously love these animals like children! Well done to Callum, the young apprentice :-)
We will be back!!

I had this as a birthday present back in June and just came back from our time with their friendly and experienced handlers.
There was torrential rain at times but as there was a covered flight area, so we had a great time.
I couldn't believe how many birds we had the chance to fly. All of the birds flew to and from our glove and they were beautiful and you could see how well looked after they were.
I can't recommend these people enough.

We were given this falconry experience as a (chosen by us!) present, and what an excellent experience it turned out to be. Lisa and Ben made us very welcome from the minute we arrived til we left. We were lucky enough to be in a small group for our Hawk Experience. We all got plenty of chances to see the magnificent Harris Hawk Ben bought on our walk flu free and flu to us, landing on our gloves arms. What also made our experienced so enjoyable was Ben's informative and interesting talk as we walked, telling us all about the Harris hawk in particular and answering any questions we had. I would defy anyone not to enjoy this experience, unless of course they are terrified of birds. We loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat.

What a fantastic morning! Worried the torrential rain (great British summertime for you) would mean this would be cancelled but no, thanks to the outdoor classrooms that provided us shelter, we were able to enjoy seeing raptors and owls up close and personal.
Alice and her dad are full of knowledge and clearly love and care for these magnificent birds. Absolutely stunning and a beautiful setting at Rosliston Forestry Centre- we will return hopefully when the weather is better!
