Brownie outing

Brought a group of 25 kids along to make unicorns. Everyone had a great time. The ladies running it were very knowledgeable and patient with the girls. Everyone came away happy and with their own little sculpture!

Fantastic birthday party experience
Jan 2019 • Family
My daughter has had an excellent experience at her 8th birthday party today. Sarah was an extremely calm and lovely host whom the children responded to really well. All of them left happy, with a lovely clay horse. The organisation of the event was excellent. Prior to the day, we were asked what we might like to make and nothing was too much trouble. My daughter loves horses and this was very much the theme of the day. All the resources were pre-organised and there was even horse themed colouring to do on arrival. We opted for the party food option and felt it was excellent value for money- freshly made sandwiches, and all the little extras you would expect for a party tea- served by Sarah, thus avoiding a lot of waste. It was the calmest birthday party we have ever run and couldn't recommend enough!

We went to Jumping Clay for story time where they read a story and then created a mini make related to the story. It's a fabulous experience that's a bargain at £3. The story was fun (Guess how much I Love You) and I loved that the mini make was so well lead that my 2 year old could manage the steps herself with just a little guidance. Now she has a little brown hare magnet on our fridge that reminds her of our experience together. She starts talking about both the story and making the magnet when she sees it. She was so proud of herself. And being situated whare it is, we were able to go to the park for a picnic lunch afterwards. Days like those are what childhood should be made of.

We had family coming to visit with young children so Markeaton Park is one of the first choices to go and visit. We had two 5 year olds and a 3 year old and after plenty of outdoor play the kids wanted to do something a little different and a rest! We found the little workshop in the courtyard area and the lady running the workshop was so friendly and enthusiastic the kids couldnt wait to get started. There are various items for the children to make, ours decided to make a magnet which was £3 each. I believe there are a range of items to make up to £5-£6. The lady just ran the workshop with the 3 of them which was perfect for the age range and attention span and upon other families enquiring during the session she politely asked them to wait/come back after the current session. Having a 5 year old boy who struggles to sit still for more than 5 minutes he managed perfectly for half an hour and thoroughly enjoyed himself ending up with us buying a jumping clay set. The clay doesn't need baking and air dries so perfect for taking away that day. Fabulous value for money and excellent way the workshop is ran so will be going back again and recommending.
