We just love Quad. The cinema is like being in someones front room and it is very relaxed. Good exhibitions also and a great cafe and bar.

I visited for lunch with work colleagues. I has baked potato with chilli and cheese and a fruit tea. The food was well presented, and reasonable in quality and taste. I felt it was expensive did what it was, but the food was reasonable quality. The environment was ok, i felt the tables inside were a little tight on space... More

Excellent seating with good leg room. If traveling from Nottingham to Derby ease of access as it is just over the road from the stop. Lift to upper floors if needed.

I have eaten at Quad before and probably will again, but I was rushed to order with a constant stream of confusing questions and a premature request for money. It reminded me of going through a drive food, rather than a nice cafe.

I don't have an issue with the food or drink. They were fine but it is hard to do tea and toast wrong. As a venue for the community and that is accessible to all I find the cafe staggering. Far to many tables that are so close together a pushchair or wheelchair can only possibly access four tables. Which... More

Dear Peter, We are very sorry to hear that you had such a disappointing visit last week and that you found the café to be difficult to access. QUAD’s Café Bar is part of the same organisation as the cinemas, gallery and other programme, not run separately, and as such we aim to make it just as accessible and family... More

The Quad is a bit of everything, offering shows, coffee shop and food. It is very near the Tourist Information Center in the market place. I stopped off for a bite to eat on my last day in Derby and the staff were very informative but not that friendly. I got a listing of films shown here for the week... More

At first sight Derby Quad can appear a bit out of place with the older surrounding buildings nearby but step inside and you'll find a great place to just sit with a coffee, use the superfast free wifi, have a light meal, go watch a film that the mainstream cinemas don't show, make use of the local BFI library, view... Central and good environment Main PLUS for me is the choice and range of films shown. Not just mainstream features. Exhibitions are very hit and miss ! Often a choice of Extra activities (talks, classes etc)

I like going to watch a film at the QUAD in Derby as the rooms are not too large hence not over populated, the seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room, the selection of films is very good and is the only cinema in town showing foreign films (in their native tongue with English subtitles). It also offers a... More
