This pub looks a little rundown on the outside but don't let that put you off!! It's lovely inside and the staff are so friendly. They were serving food on a limited menu, standard pub fayre at a good price. We had a roast dinner here with family and the hosts threw in a free sausage for our dog. There's ample parking here as well as outside seating areas. Out back there's a lovely little garden and we were lucky enough to meet the resident rabbits and ducks including the tiny baby rabbits. Perfect for kids. Lots of Covid19 precautions in place too. Highly recommended. If I lived nearby this would probably be my local.

Very nice people but a really limited basic menu. Very cheap and what they do is great for the price and decent portion size.
Need to get small bottles of Prosecco for sale behind the bar

When I first passed England's Glory I wasn't too sure what to think. It's a very old school pub and I was concerned that perhaps I wouldn't have the best of experiences as I'm not from the area.
As it turns out England's Glory was a pleasant surprise, resulting in a trip for a single pint turning into me having around 5 and missing my train. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, good selection of beers and decently priced. Will return soon.

A decent building, an area with little competition, on a main thoroughfare with a few major bus routes, near a major employer in Gloucester Royal Hospital, but still quite poor. Hopefully this review will encourage the owner (Wadworth) to focus. The beer selection is poor, the real ale was Wadworth only, which should be OK but tasted old and on the verge of being off. No modern keg/craft beer on offer, despite local Brewery offerings like Gloucester Brewery, Hillside Brewery and DEYA being nearby. Zero real cider, despite being in Gloucester. On top of that, my wife being a Gin fan was entirely disappointed with the gin offering. There are loads of interesting Gins available these days, just not in pubs such as this it seems. The England’s Glory should take a look at the The Fountain and TANK for inspiration. Overall an embarrassment to those that own and manage the England’s Glory establishment, which is ridiculous as the building and location has so much potential. Hopefully this review will become out of date very quickly.

England’s Glory is my favorite pub in Gloucester - it’s a great place to spend an evening. Food is excellent, drinks are spot on, and staff are friendly and welcoming. I especially like the way the pub is split into two parts, with the bar running between them - the front bar is perfect for a meal and/or chat with mates, and the back bar is great for darts, skittles, pub quizzes (they run two a week, Thursdays and Sundays) or just... drinking! Highly recommended.
