I love this pub! The range of beer is excellent. The bar is clean and the decoration is tasteful. I go here regularly with friends, but it is so nice I sometimes visit alone. There is always a warm welcome at the Chin!

Have had a nice time at this bar before but was made to feel very unwelcome and rather like a second class citizen when the bar tender would not accept cash for payment (I had no bank card with me) . Clearly they are doing so well they no longer need my custom. Please change your card only policy!

Bloody brilliant independent bar with a fantastic - and interesting - range of beers. Jack and Hannah are about as awesome as they come. Incredibly dog friendly!
(In fact, as I'm writing this now I realise that we don't visit as often as we like, so that's definitely going to change).

We've been here a few times and it's a cracking little micropub. Good atmosphere and nice bar staff. The beer selection is eclectic but always interesting. Unfortunately virtually all the beers this time were vegan friendly and as a consequence hazy. I prefer something clear such a pale ale or West Coast ipa. South was hazy or stout. One drink and over to Harrogate Tap.

I’m a local and have to confess that this is the first time I’ve visited this place, but it will not be the last! Fantastic use of space, beautiful decor, great choice of drinks for all tastes and really welcoming. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the window seat with the cushions and table - very novel 😀

Popped in as we walked through Harrogate town centre. The bar was doing Tryanuary, when people try to encourage people to try something new / locally produced in January!
All the beers they had on were produced by local breweries such as Daleside Brewery, Roosters, Harrogate & Turning Point!
Great service, great beers
