If you are serious about Cask Beer , then this is a must , top quality in all ways , the service is absolutely spot on from Sam , Elisha and their team , these guys really know about not only their product but specialise in hospitality and are absolute naturals , the surroundings and fitting of the entire place are stylish and elegant yet in a rustic manner , Just a grat place , see it for yourselves,

The best dam watering hole in town!
Aug 2021
A warm friendly welcome, cosy surroundings and a great selection of tipples to wet the appetite. I would highly recommend a visit to this quaint little drinking establishment!

Cosy and friendly

Cosy, friendly pub on Cold Bath Road, just away from the town centre. I had the Mary Jane on hand pull and it was very pleasant. There’s televisions and free wi-fi. It strikes me as being a good place for a quiet, relaxing drink.

Great local pub

Great little pub on Cold Bath Road. It attracts lots of local trade and has a good mixture of candles and TVs if you get my drift!!

Dog friendly
May 2019 • Couples
Was walking around looking for somewhere to go for a drink when we had the dog, seen the sign on the door saying dog friendly. We went in. Staff very friendly. I ordered a cocktail and the girl told me it was two for £12 so I had to get two lol. Hubby had a pint. The girl brought over fresh water for the dog too. A lovely quirky little pub. Would definitely go back if I’m ever in Harrogate again.

Cosy pub, like being in your own front room

Staff really friendly. Candles glow. Board games to play or watch the sport or just drink and chat.
Only small in size but a big welcome greets you.
Ideal for a drink before or after a trip into town or stay for the afternoon or evening, grab a bottle and enjoy the atmosphere.

Surprisingly Good
Mar 2019 • Solo
Difficult to describe this bar because it is not like other bars in the Harrogate which all seem to follow one of three themes: either olde worlds, modern, or microbrewery. This bar is just a great place to relax.

People were here in groups, couples or even by themselves reading books & newspapers. A couple of others were just sitting with their dogs. One dog was even served a bowl of water by the bar staff. Someone else who was alone was sat knitting while enjoying her wine. While others were glued to a tv screen.

It seems to be a local pub that can suit just about anyone. Certainly very friendly bar staff and great atmosphere. Feels ‘unusual’ but it works and I liked it. Real ales, craft beer, wines cocktails etc all available. Just a little too busy for my liking but I will return.

Just round the corner from where we were staying. A couple of minutes from the bustle of the town centre.
Great choice of beers ciders and my own favourite gin.
Small and welcoming. It was packed with football fans as Leeds were on tv.
Still easy to get to the bar despite being full, friendly staff and patrons.
