A wonderful, underrated poet who lived such a complex and ultimately sad life is well remembered where he used to live and work. Make sure you wander over to the church to see his burial place.

The home of a minor ( and I do mean minor) nature poet who went mad. That about sums it up. If you like Clare you will love it, me I lost interest rapidly. Being charitable it is a tourist draw for the village, and...More

Went here for coffee this morning on our way to Stamford. Was impressed by the service and the dedication of the volunteers. Knew nothing about him but was drawn to him and his work.

Usually open Friday's and Saturdays but I would phone first to check as it is run by volunteers. I went on a group booking but I would assume there is a senior concession.
