Been visiting the woods and lido for 60+ years. Delightful walks in this ever improving area. Very family friendly, if a little over-crowded at weekends - particularly if the sun shines. Can be very hard to park on busy days, but fortunately we live in...More

Such a lovely place to visit for a good walk and lunch (or just a coffee). It gets very crowded on hot summer days so only go then if you have young children and want a cheap day out!

This is like not being in London but at the woods or seaside or golf course. My son likes to visit the rare breed cattle or sometimes there are hordes of tiny frogs or harvestman spiders. There is a childrens' playground like a disassembled pirate...More

Great place to visit for a walk or picnic. Have some family and friends come along and it makes a great outdoors day. Lots of space and of course they is the lidocaine too.

The lido has developed into a fabulous place over the last 25 years. Great place for families or just a lovely walk.

Very nice ramble through the woods with a stop off for ice cream (!) on a cold cloudy afternoon in January. Cafe clean and well stocked and open till around sunset with lots of ice cream flavours for the kids (big and small!) to choose.

I don't know if it is officially allowed but there is an area of the beach where I often see dogs running free and going into the water. Dogs are certainly allowed off the leash in the woodland areas.

There is a cafe which sells ice cream, food and drinks. This is situated by the sand bank of the lido itself; right next to the park and play areas

There is a coffee shop on the far side of the lido. Or there is the pub which is near the car park.
