We had high ones for this Arboretum but we're underwhelmed by its layout & planting regime. It was very difficult to determine tree species nor understand why what was planted where. I left my husband to wander around after half way as to be frank I'd had enough. The cafe & shop were... very Irish, lacked variety or choice too.

This is one of the most amazing walks I ever experienced in Ireland. This is must see, I am big lover of forests and trees, but there is not many places you can go here in Ireland. We live only 45 minutes away and it is quite shame we never thought of going there before. It is astonishing! There is... More

The arboretum was spectacular, and we enjoyed seeing a red squirrel aroung the lake area. We were able to take the dog and so we all had a fantastic time.

In the context of the US elections 2016 it was moving to visit this tribute to John F Kennedy. The display on his presidency and visit to Ireland showed his popularity and impact on people. Loved the Jackie Kennedy display of her style with the outfits she wore. Outside the park is peaceful with vast expanses and a beautiful lake.... More

Visited with our 8 year old with a new bike in November. There was no cost to enter on a Friday (as it probably doesn't pay to man the entrance). We walked around the full circle walk (took about an hour and a half) and came prepared with bread to feed the ducks at the lake. Many of the trees... More

This is the place for those who enjoy long walks, love and know Nature, pursue photography. This is the place for those with young children; for the elderly who just want to sit under the canopy of the trees and read a book; for those who want to be alone, and those who enjoy a company. Everybody will love this... More

It was all very well kept.and the lake was nice. We enjoyed looking around the exhibition of John F. Kennedy. We... More

Spent a good couple of hours walking amongst the trees. Lots of paths to follow and dogs allowed too (on the lead). Nice lunch in the tea room followed by a drive to the top of Slieve Coillte to enjoy the view over counties Wexford and Waterford. Great for smaller kids as there is a large playground to keep them... More

As a family day out this place was fantastic. There's a great playground for kids and loads of Picnic Tables for parents to sit around and watch their kids at play. There's a small railway which gives kids a 10 min spin around a section of the park for a €1.00 . It's great fun for small kids. I'd say... More
