One of the few beaches in Ireland where you are allowed to drive and park on the beach! Lovely beach, lots to do around this area, short drive away from Loftus Hall and Hook Head Lighthouse

So the water isn't too deep off the beach, but becomes deep enough for large boats. It is popular for kite surfing (but not the... More

The apartment we were staying in was overlooking the beach. When the tide was out there was a lovely clean sandy stretch to walk along.Dont go here if you are afraid of dogs as there are generally lots of dogs on the beach.

You can drive on to the beach, its spotless and has plenty of room so you wont get crowded. The children where safe and plenty of ice cream from the local seller. The Strand Tavern is also facing the beach which serves award winning food at the price without ripping you off.

The beach has lovely soft sand and is very clean with very little seaweed. There is a small shop which sells buckets and spades as well as drinks and ice creams. The water was a very long way away when we were there which was ok but meant that we didn't spend a lot of time together as one of... More
