Nice Though Nothing Overly Special
Jul 2020 • Friends
The small, sturdy and squat clock tower on Waterford Quays may not be your highlight of the city for sure but it's well worth a quick stop.
It's part of the city's fabric and history and even though it's not overly impressive or grandiose it has a nice charm to it.

Clock Tower Is Small and a Quick View
Sep 2019
Our hotel was across the street from the clock tower and we quickly walked around it. It is smallish and not sure how much of a tower it really is. One of the prettier things I saw in Waterford.

Part of the history...

The clock tower, a major part of the historical port of Waterford.
Easy to find and view, right in the heart of Meaghers Quay.

1863 Clock Tower
May 2019 • Couples
This clock tower is in the Gothic Revival style and built when Waterford was Ireland's leading industrial port. There is a fountain integrated in the tower, water used to flow into horse-troughs, most of the original mechanisms for clock and fountain still exist. Nice feature on the quay.

Attractive tower

Not large and near the town centre. Attractive clock tower that is worth a look if you are nearby. Gives you a feel of how the place would have been many years ago

By the riverfront

Along the main promenade in Waterford, you’ll find the town Clock Tower. Nice landmark if you see it. Not far from Reginald’s Tower.

Walk-a-bout
Mar 2019 • Couples
We did our own walking tour here and came across the clock. It is such a lovely piece of history to have sitting in your city. Not something I would visit on its own, but it was lovely to find it while out and about.

Nice surprise on the River Suir Quay
Dec 2018 • Solo
after a walk in the Christmas market went toward the river to get back to the Bus station. Just at the end of the street on the river quay it is placed this nice clock tower. it is a nice historic building situated on the river side on a very busy street.

Lots of shops and stores to see and visit. The main street along the water and around the viking area are a great place to walk.

Appealing Clock Tower along Meagher's Quay
Sep 2018 • Solo
The Clock Tower is an iconic structure overlooking the River Suir along Meagher’s Quay in Waterford City. The tower was made in Gothic Revival style and was completed in 1863, it is an architecturally interesting structure along the quayside with intricate design features. The weather was miserable on my most recent visit but the Clock Tower remained an appealing sight despite the foul weather.
