Irish history in a palatial home. The home is beautifully restored and tells the history of the past from hundreds of years ago and up to present day. It is very well done and so worth seeing.

The guided tour was made more interesting and fun as the guides were dressed as the housekeeper and butler in period costumes. The information was delivered by the "housekeeper" from her perspective with added comments by the "butler" very well done and amusing. The food in the small restaurant was good value and very tasty. Alltogether it was a very... More

My wife and I had purchased a multiple ticket for this museum along with another museum. The Bishops Palace or residence if you prefer, was the seat of power in Waterford during is early days. There are many displays of paintings, furniture, and historical items, such as the earliest piece of glassware formed by the Waterford Crystal factory. Many religious... More

My partner and I both went on the guided tour. Very enjoyable and informative. Guide was excellent and available to answer all questions etc. Once the guided section was over we were free to wander the upstairs at our leisure. Really nice afternoon, would recommend.

Another excellent venue to visit. Our guides Derek and Blanaid made the tour so interesting and alive .We enjoyed the interaction through the acting of these fantastic couple, which brought the history of this venue to another level.

We ended up with only a short visit due to time restraints. What we did see was interesting and we would have liked to stay a little longer. A lot of interesting exhibits and many that we hadn't seen elsewhere. We did get to see the oldest known piece of Waterford Crystal in the world. It was built back in... More

Defiantly good value buying the combined Medieval museum ticket and Bishops palace in one. Really beautiful building and the audio tour is essential as it really helps to bring the building to life. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

We did the Medieval museum first so the Bishops Palace is not so well laid out but worth a visit. Buy the joint ticket for good value.

Took the guided tour of the Bishops Palace which also included entrance to the Medieval Museum, excellent value @ €10.00. Really good guided tour by Actors in period costume of the Bishop's Palace, would recommend it, was informative & interesting, nice Coffee Shop so you can take a break after visiting one before embarking on the other, all in all... We took the audio units rather than the guided tour. This museum has some attractive rooms to visit and on the top floor exhibits of 20th century political and social history.
