My wife and I have never been kayaking before and after our experience we will definitely be back.. The lake and the scenery is beautiful. Ruben was our guide and he was excellent. He made us feel very relaxed and explained everything quite clearly. His knowledge of Lough Gill was very interesting and we even got to meet his very friendly dog- Ross!. We would highly recommend this trip. For fifty euro per person this is great value for 3 hours on the lake.

Unfortunately the original tour at Ballysodare bay wasn't available due to the wind condition at the time so we were transferred to do the Lough Gill tour. The Lake was very nice with appreciation of nature - plants and random animals. We enjoyed the break (tea+coffee+biscuits) at Beezy's island which we got to explore the area. The guides were extremely helpful and great!!! Absolute stars!! My only point for improvement is if they can talk the group through some "interesting" facts about the lake, about historical events and "cool" facts about Sligo. This I think will add more value and interest in the tour.

We had a lovely kayak experience on Lough Gill assisted bt Eamonn and Reuben . Humour, patience and a helpful tow for one person made this great fun for our group of ten. The kayaks are lightweight and we felt safe and the group were of all ages and abilities. This lake is beautiful and kayaking to an island having tea and coffee was great fun and enjoyed by everyone. Can't recommend them highly enough and they got us home between showers but we were well prepared with equipment whatever the weather. Good value when you see the service and great staff.

Would absolutely recommend Sligo Kayaking Tours. We were away this weekend on a family trip and booked a tour for Sunday morning. There were 8 of us and our two guides Ciarán and Ciaróg. They were great guides, allowed us catch our feet and move at our own pace. They were full of chats and craic and we honestly had such a fun experience exploring the beautiful lake. Would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone, don’t be put off if you haven’t gone kayaking before the guides are great at helping you along the way. Beautiful scenery and a pit stop for some coffee on the island is great! 10/10 ☺️

I've been out twice with different groups of friends on Lough Gill with Sligo Kayak Tours. Both times the experience was very enjoyable and everyone in the group had a great time. The tour guides are brilliant both from an equipment & safety point of view, but also as guides who can give information about the lake and the surrounding area. They're very open to questions too so feel free to have a chat with them out on the lake.

The tea / coffee and biscuits on Beezie's Island is a really nice touch where you are also given time to explore the island.

The equipment is in great condition and it's the only place I've ever had a splash guard which is great for keeping you dry.

I had some conversations with Barry (the owner) over email and he was always a pleasure to deal with.

Would recommend tours with Sligo Kayak Tours for both locals and tourists. A great few hours of fun!

This was such a fantastic trip around Lough Gill! Our tour guide, Reuben, was awesome and the views were unbeatable. We went in September so the weather was cool but the water was not too cold. We stayed completely dry due to the gear provided by the tour. We kayaked around the lake, stopping at the island in the middle for a cup of coffee. Reuben was full of great information and faerie stories. We spent 8 days in Ireland and this tour was absolutely the highlight of my trip. I would do this same tour again next time I'm in the country.

Amazing experience out on the lake - would recommend to anyone visiting Sligo! Even though we were locals, we learned so much about the history of the lake (and Beezie’s Island) in addition to having a really enjoyable time kayaking. Our guide was so informative and easygoing, and made us feel totally safe throughout the adventure. If you’re going to Sligo and the weather permits - definitely try this!

This was our first time to try kayaking and Barry was a patient and thorough instructor. We got going handy enough with no mishaps. We spent a few hours on the lake with Barry guiding and we were blown away with the beauty of this under-utilised spot.
Certainly the great weather got helped, but it's such an amazing location it would be hard not to be impressed by it.

The kayak and facilities used were all top-notch and the coffee break on the island included was a really nice touch.
I'd really recommend this tour company, top notch stuff.

It was a good sunny day for kayaking on lough gill with friends. the guides were really friendly and helpful to guide throughout the lake with strong winds. Barry and Caroline are amazing with their stories and coffee and biscuits. I would highly recommend to go in summer with your friends/family.

This was a great way to spend an unusually hot afternoon - out in a kayak on Lough Gill. Our guides Reuben and Tessa are professional and very competent and also good humoured and full of stories about the lake and the islands on it. I felt safe and well cared for at all times.
