Was in Sligo the last weekend in january staying in the Sligo City Hotel. Just across the street is the Harp Tavern. Went in for a drink during the day on Saturday and saw there was a band on that night called The Quay Street Band. The entertainment at the hotel was cancelled so we thought we would try the Harp Tavern. We definitely made the right choice. The band was brilliant and played our kind of music. The people were very friendly and made us very welcome. It makes a great change to see a bar with people of our age group (early sixties) instead of only young people. We very impressed with the staff who knew everyone and were very friendly. I have to mention I think the manager Ann? Despite the fact that we were first time visitors to the bar when my husband went up for more drinks she had them ready on the bar. Very impressive. We will definitely visit again the next time we visit Sligo.…

Stopped by for lunch and what a lunch it was there was plenty food on my plate and the service from the guy from donegal was top class!! Came back that evening again for some live music which I think is on most nights during the week I would recommend the burger too!!
