Hiking the trails of Knocknarea offered spectacular views of Ireland, the trail was not to difficult. Base camp sells snacks and waters for before or after your hike

Our ancestors had a reason for choosing this as a pilgrimage/burial site. If your lucky to get a good day, the views are astounding. If not the mountain is so steeped in history that it is still worth a trip up. The path is well...More

Near strandhill , this walk takes no more than hour half, up and 40 mins down . We did it with a 4 & 7 year old. Lots of steps, lovely forest, mountain heather trail and Queen Maedbh grave of course

Knocknarea is definitely worth a visit when in Sligo. The views of Sligo Town and the surrounding area from the top are spectacular and worth the effort.

We started the bottom of Knocknarea in fine weather, which slowly deteriorated. Most of the walk is very easy, there was one bit towards the top which got difficult, and the wind didn't help, but all in all it's not a very difficult walk. There...More
