Got to the crossing near Strandhill and after looking at the low tide and picking up the courage to go across, I proceeded only to find the reason why I wanted to go was to have a pint in its only pub, on the island....More

My Spanish friends enjoyed walking with me over to Coney Island at low tide, to see the landscape, bird life and village lifestyle,of yesteryear!!

Lovely bar on Coney island well worth visit but check the tides we got caught there yesterday but bar owner kindly arranged a boat back to Rosses Point we will definitely go back to Coney bar for some drinks with more time to spare

Coney Island is located off Strandhill Co. Sligo. The island is accessible by land at low tide. Bet that you didn't know that it's more famous namesake in New York was named after this island, by a Sligo sea captain!
