Beautiful! Clean, peaceful and the sea air is so refreshing. Sligo is such a beautiful part of Ireland, a hidden treasure!

This is not a taxing walk and the paths are well tended. You meander round some impressive coastline enjoying great views and (depending on the weather) some great sea-action. In stormy weather, the way the sea sucks and draws the cobbles and waves blast into the shore can be truly breath-taking!

Good walk and fairly easy. There and back to St Patricks well. Good picnic spots on the way and if you are brave a stoney beach but a steep descent.

Literally the wind in your hair, a breath taking view, the feel of ocean spray and spectacular first hand experience of the ocean crashing onto the rocks......only draw back is DOG OWNERS please please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG...lots of dog mess around so you need to keep an eye on where you are walking which is a terrible pity.

We visited a couple of local sights, and unfortunately left it a little late in the day to complete the full walk. We will definitely return to see the rest as the part we did see was gorgeous. The start of the walk is not sign posted and was a little difficult to find. Follow the Wild Atlantic Way South... More

Aughris coastal walk is located in Co Sligo and it's easy to start from Dunmoran Strand. It's about 4 km and the grade is easy. It's easy to complete in either trainers or walking boots. It's an area of great natural beauty with rugged and unspoilt coastline. It crosses Dunmoran Strand and comes out close to Aughris harbour which is... More

We did on a clear day which made it all the more enjoyable. Great view all around the head and across the bay. There is a nice little inlet cove off the walk.

Loved the beach with round rocks and fossils, cows, views, rock ledges to walk on, St Pactrick's Well. No rush to return to the civilized world.
