Just off the main Blacklion to Sligo road and well signposted for Glencar. The adjacent Shed coffee house is a welcome addition to the edge of Glencar Lake and is of great quality. Plenty of parking and toilets. The tarmac path to the main waterfall is short and easily accessible to the less able/buggies etc. Continue to the high ground... More

Lovely and peaceful, with swans and seagulls! We enjoyed the views of the lake before and after our walk up to Glencar Waterfall. Be sure to bring a few Euros for ice cream and/or tea at the tea shop.

Went on a kayak tour of Glencar with Sligo Kayak Tours - what a beautiful location. While the first part of the trip was a bit wet, the sun came out and the views of the green mountains on either side were magnificent. This is Ireland at its beautiful best - check it out.

Beautiful and peaceful, definitely take a trip out for a look. We saw people kayaking but didn't have time ourselves. Very narrow roads, take your time.

The lake is in the nice setting, but the main attraction is the waterfall. Glencar is easily accessible on the Yeats Country Drive tour. New tea room opened recently nearby - also a good starting points for hiking tours to Benbulben mountain.

Glencar falls are nothing spectacular but the whole area is pretty. If you like to hike, there's a path on the main road (quarter mile from falls parking lot) that takes you up the mountain. Follow the Dooneen trail to the end for breathtaking views. If you're a VERY experienced hiker, you can go off trail to Benbulbin and an... More

There is a small place for tea at the Glencar waterfall. The waterfall is not very big but there is a smaller one about 15 minutes walk from the water fall. The smaller one is actually longer and has a good walk around.

The views from glencar waterfall and the devil's chimney were beautiful. This is such an amazing area with little development and gorgeous scenery.
