Very good food, friendly people splendid venue. I really enjoyed spending time and having lunch. Did the tour before and regardless of not being a working distillery it is still a pleasant and informative experience. Kilbeggan is better if you want to smell the fermentation...More

Initially I went along because my husband wanted to do this tour, however I am certainly glad I did. The tour was very educational, and I really enjoyed learning about the whisky distilling process. Our tour guide was very verse on the topic and enthusiastic...More

We visited Tullamore Dew Distillery during our trip to Ireland. The place close to the river was charming and the whole visit fulfilled our expectations.

The tour us not bad but quiet expensive, 14 Euros per adult. It gives you some theoretic information about whiskey-making and you can taste 3 different wiskeys. The staff was kind and helpful.

This was our second distillery visit in Ireland and it was very enjoyable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great stop on the way to the Cliffs.

Interesting place - but at one part of the tour the video didn´t work. Intensely irritating guide who obviously considers herself a great wit - but is anything but. Good whiskey.

Enjoyed the last 5pm tour this week,14Euros, that comes with a 'small' tasting of three whiskeys at the end. The visitor center is very nice, and purposely built for whiskey tourism. The tour is well done, blending technology and a personal touch from the tour...More

Sorry - we drove from Sligo, not Dublin - can only suggest trying google maps for directions from Dublin - there are day trips from Dublin with various tour companies, if you don't have a car.

Don't know anything about staying in Tullamore. You could visit en route to the West but it is only about one third of the distance to Inishboffin.
