Another Catholic Church, not that interesting architecturally (Victorian Gothic, but nothing like as good as a Pugin!). Nice building on the outside, nice one inside too. One day before the pope arrived, it was a bit of balancing between please come and please don't. We all know why. Keeping a lid on things and sweeping the abuse under the carpet.

Lovely church in the centre of Drogheda. Very serene inside. Shrine to Oliver Plunkett in the church. Wide steps outside to sit and watch the world pass by.

Hadn't been here since attending on a scool tour more than 50 years ago! Beautiful stained glass windows and a wonderfully ornate altar. Home of course to the enshrined head of St. Oliver Plunkett. Worth seeing and getting to understand the history while in Drogheda...More

The Church is worth a visit. There is a mumified head of an old archbishop, Oliver Plunkett, but I found The glass Windows more interesting.
