Great campus

If in limerick, take a visit to UL and go for a walk along the banks of the river Shannon. A lovely way to spend the afternoon and great for kids

A real jewel in Limericks crown. Well worth a visit. Great place to be a student or visitor. The sports arena a must.

As a graduate of its initial incarnation, NIHE, I recently paid a return visit after some decades of absence and spent a most enjoyable few hours exploring this now extensive campus. Set on the banks of the Shannon and traversing two counties with the Living Bridge connecting one side of the campus to the other. Go and stroll and take... More

I spent four years here doing my undergrad and really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, great walks/runs down by the river, just be wise with the time you go, not late at night or super early morning on your own just for safety but I've never had any issues there.

The campus is open and a very nice area for tourists who wish to get away from shopping! There is a small café near the track but we did not eat there.

This is probably the most beautiful campus in the country. It is outside Limerick city but can be gotten to easily on public transport every 20 mins (approx.). The campus is very large with beautifully manicured grounds. It is situated on the river shannon and the river walks are very picturesque - gravel paths suitable for walking, running or cycling... The University of Limerick is a spacious campus close to the city. It is a nice place to walk around. There are several cafes and restaurants open to the public. The Arena has a 50 metre swimming pool which is 'pay as you go' and open to the public. There are often matches or athletics competitions going on around the... More

I was impressed at the accommodation. There was heating in the rooms. The facilities were adequate and neat. The cleaning services were efficient. The price was very reasonable. You can find everything you need at the campus whether it is a gym, a conversation store,,Irish pub and Irish music. Love it! !
