Visit the savoy bar recently for some cocktails. Fantastic selection and indication of which glass cocktails will be served in, something that I consider when ordering. Bartender who took the order was very professional, had no hesitation at all preparing me a gin based mojito. Complimentary nuts and olives were delivered to our table too which was a lovely five... Went here as part of an evening out in Limerick for a 40th birthday. For a hotel bar, it was really lively. Staff were really friendly and professional. There was a good crowd there and smart patronage. There was a good selection of cocktails and regular beers to accommodate everybody's palate. Overall nice place, nice decor, good atmosphere, nice relaxing... More

The Savoy is the leading business hotel and conference venue in LImerick. It has the kind of traditional nicely old fashioned bar and lounge. It is just what you would expect. Be aware however that it does not open untill 4 pm.

I emailed the front of house outlining the problems myself and my family encountered in their bar, which I'm copying into this post and still got no apology from the front of house management or the management on the night either. They take your money but substitute your drink with cheaper quality alcohol that could potentially make people sick. Disgraceful... More

I would definitely watch what drinks are being given here. This is a copy of the email I sent to the front of house manager: "Myself and my family visited your bar Saturday night for a relaxing night of cocktails but unfortunately that was not what we experienced. Our first round of drinks were fine, that was not a problem,... More

The Savoy Bar really is first class. The service is impeccable and the staff are courteous and mannerly. The bar itself is small but comfortable and has a smoking section. The standout feature has to be the cocktails here - they really are amazing and not overpriced. A great spot for a first date or as a starting point on... More

My sister, partner and I (7 months pregnant with twins) came in after a birthday meal for my sister a few weeks ago. As I was pregnant we chose to sit in the library bar over the busy front bar. Our order (from a menu provided) was taken promptly but after 15 minutes we still had no drinks. We called... More
