In a gorgeous building and supported by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, it is lovely placed on the River Nore quayside. Striking stone work is exceptional, complemented by a fine portico and turret. It was completed in 1915. It contains a broad range of books across all genres. Additionally as part of the National library network it can source books from any of the numerous libraries countrywide. It provides a range of services including study areas, internet access and newspapers.
