Love the dogleg shape (sure there is an ecclesiastical term for that) and just a beautiful place. I lit a candle for my grandmother which I always do on my favourite church on all my trips.

Don't miss this church. It is an excellent example of how the medieval and the modern can come together beautifully.

The church itself is beautiful but it's the stained glass windows - both the newer one and the older one - that really make this worth a visit. The stories behind them make it even more powerful.

Nice stained glass and a pleasant walk near the city center well worth making a part of your day. Close proximity to St Canice and the other churches that are also worth seeing

We did not tour through this Abbey. In our opinion it was off "the beaten path". We did walk to find it and got some very good pictures of the outside of the building.

Stopped here on our bike tour of Kilkenny, most beautiful church I’ve ever been too. Our tour guide gave us a great history of the building itself and showed how it was rebuilt partially and how the glass has a protective outer layer.

Do take time to visit this wonderful structure in Kilkenny. The history of this abbey is very interesting and the stained glass windows are simply beautiful...fortunately for us , we talked with a member who gave us a brief but very informative tour...

I am not sure what the opening hours are but Catholic churches are usually open all day every day until around 7pm (depends on the individual church) and you are always welcome to attend mass. There is no charge to visit the... More
