I enjoyed the feeling of the church and both the interior and exterior and the impressive architecture.
You don't have to be a religious person to appreciate coming here and as well the stained glass is impressive.
st Johns church is on teh Dublin Road opposite the railway station.
It was built in 1903- with the entire cost borne by the O'Loughlin family of Sandfords Court.

We found this by accident as it isn't on the medieval mile or necessarily one of the highly sought after attractions. Also, by comparison it is quite new, as it was built during the 1800's. Regardless, it is well worth the stop and is attached...More
