The story behind the funding of this church is interesting. The grounds are sizable and the architecture is impressive. It is located across the road from the train station.

I enjoyed the feeling of the church and both the interior and exterior and the impressive architecture. You don't have to be a religious person to appreciate coming here and as well the stained glass is impressive.

This church is off the beaten track, through town over the bridge and it opens up with large grounds around it. If you like your history check it out!!

With so many stunning churches to visit in Kilkenny you might as well visit St. John. It's free to get in and the architecture is excellent.
