We had been told by many that we would have these ruins to ourselves and only saw 2 other people while there. We packed a lunch and explored with delight. Very large Norman ruin.

This location is so quiet and peaceful. We walked across the pasture to the priory in awe. The size and beauty were more than we expected. I loved having the opportunity to walk around and explore the monuments and surrounding landscape. The grounds are beautifully...More

Our history group visited Kells in March and were really well looked after by Liam O'Sullivan. He gave us a very comprehensive tour of the abbey, and was most generous with his time. His style and delivery was much appreciated by our eclectic group and...More

JerPoint Abbey and this one are real close together if you have a car. And this one is really worth the time to drive to. If I had time for only one then this one would be the one I wanted to see. The countryside...More
